Miniature Dachshund or Miniature Pincher...small but not yappy. Large rib cages give them a powerful bark for their size.

in PMQs Cancelled on Guido Fawkes Blog
Hi first post,
I immediatly lept to this site to reassure myself that even Guido would sneer at this tragic news. What a surprise.
One would also suspect that Guido would be a bit of a cunt for this, but I'm assuming that Guido has suffered the death of a child and got on quitely with his blogging.
Oh well

in NimbleBit » Global Game Jam Postmortem on The NimbleBit Blog
Definitely agree with the whole LAN Party analogy. For me, I usually liken it to 6th grade sleep-overs. They were the pinnacle of 6th grade life. Sugar, caffeine, sega, trampolines, impromptu tag and so on. Those were the days.
But now we have game jams! The most fun a grown-up kid can have these days.

in Thrashed on Thursday. on SaltCycle
we're sorry if anyone got left behind at ESTE, i guess we got a little bit anxious to ride.
every week we will be meeting at the same place, same time. but we will probably meet inside and eat pizza before we head out. so bring a few bucks for a slice
for people who decided not to come because of the temperature, the parking structure was very warm. and most of us weren't even wearing sweatshirts

I think it's amazing how an act of violence against myself changes my whole perspective of reality - and drastically.
I used to be a firm believer in the general goodness of all mankind. Most of the time I still believe that the person I'm meeting or seeing face to face is an inherently decent person; yet I can't help but remember how, as an example, the Cedar City walmart experiences theft in the hundreds of thousands every year and I'm forced to say that some of that is from local people who I probably have seen or even talked with in the past. And if a small town like this can have such a rampant problem, I wonder how pervasive this selfish and violent attitude is throughout the U.S. and the world.
Some days I distrust the enforcers of our system, sometimes I am really grateful for them.

in Mark Cuban Is Just Your Average Mac Convert, and I Can Relate, Welcome to the Age of Apple on ParisLemon
I started to use macs in 10th grade of highschool and now I'm a senior and I'm using them a lot and ..... I love it. I am very satisfied. I'm not sure why but it feels so great (ok, I could actually give you reasons.)
But I am now faced with a problem, I just built my own PC last chirstmas for $1000. I kinda want to make the switch to a mac but I can't aford a new computer right now and I would hate to waste my new computer.
So I could buy a mac laptop for college but I fear I might just want to use that and never my pc. The second thing is I want a laptop for highschool, like now. I was looking at some netbooks because I want thing very small, lite and portable. I also think it would be a waste to get a netbook then a mac laptop fall 09. So theres my dilemma.

in Bicycle Poem/Rant on SaltCycle
that was interesting to read.
...it feels like lately motorists have been messing with bikers more and more. usually, when i hear someone yell something while im riding it doesnt really bother me. but i guess someone really bugged me on friday afternoon and i spat in their face at pointblank range a few intersections later. it ended up being quite an experience
thats a nice poem/story tho
i dig it

in Anyone Listening to Peter Schiff Now? | Short Sale Solutions on ShortSaleBlogger
just imagine all the people who were swayed and bandwagoned that Schiff was somehow a "kook". the problem with people in the world is that they bullhead off-the-cuff thoughts as if they're beyond self analysis. I've been wondering many years why everyone pretends there's happiness and as if addressing "bad times" makes you a negative person. Peter only called out the problems spots that needed fixing, but everyone called him a clown. Isn't this an offshoot of the "emperor's new clothes"?
