Like any other form of communication there will always be a lot of Semantic Jazz ! Also by not allowing more thn 140 CH it really is nothing more than a micro blogging bill board ! An effective billboard only need six words ! I need a a few columns!
140 CH leaves no room to create dialogue ! I wish Twitter had an interface like Scobles Kyte TV !

You are not alone ! Design Sense, comes with time in grade, and knowledge of general semantic's! Facebook might take a look at the ny times reader, it has a sense of order ! I find Facebook not that easy to use ! Yes it's my book but UGLY Cause it is their Face On what is supposed to be me my book!
Thus, a "social order" is a relatively stable system of institutions, pattern of interactions and customs, capable of continually reproducing at least those conditions essential for its own existence. The concept thus refers to all those facets of society which remain relatively constant over time.

I must defend certain aspects of Michael's post's! To survive social media must generate content with a mass appeal ! In a serious vein when people mature their tastes change ! Facebook has a lot of apps that do not promote development of good generic content ! It is an interesting experiment! I think much of the spin lately, has been created by what Facebook is worth ! It is a private company so we are not privy to the bottom line ! The real question in my mind is," To Survive what services does a social media have to provide ! In the long run, business has no Heart it exists for profit ! So far Connie seems to have generated profit thru social networking ! Her business probably lend's it self to this kind of networking ! Michael has planted a grain of sand in the Internet Clam, it will either produce a pearl of just float thru the Kelp ! Cheers for Chris for also creating a grain of Sand! In my opinion Google is a firm that has created a great social tool !

Korzybski's work culminated in the founding of a discipline that he called general semantics (GS). As Korzybski explicitly said, GS should not be confused with semantics, a different subject. The basic principles of general semantics, which include time-binding, are outlined in Science and Sanity, published in 1933. In 1938 Korzybski founded the Institute of General Semantics and directed it until his death. Google understands the Science that Korsibski presented ! It may Make Gmail the next great social bookmarking site!

Most local television is only presenting Info-mercials, you know fix the zipper on your fly with super glue or by the one and only clapper to put out your lights ! It is time for firms to hire the abilities of the Public Relations folks who can create content , most fifteen year olds kids can create a You Tube Video that equals what you might pay a TV Production Firm to do for $50,000.00. In the newspaper care dealers devote more space to pictures of their salesmen and cars than creating content that will attract buyer , they just don't get it ! All cars have lost their design quality and all look like kidney beans so you better sell features ! You have a following on your blog , if I had a product i am sure I could in time sell it at a profit and with words and a few videos create a desire on your Blog and save and make money!

Fact Check-I am not sure the buy in on Facebook was a bid ! What facts do any of us have that Google Loses ! Google is a well branded educationally oriented firm ! Gmail has developed some excellent work a day world applications! Microsoft in this case was forced by competition to spend $200 Million Plus dollars to create a larger market through Facebook Subscribers! Google did not spend $200million dollars to create a Market for Gmail !
Microsoft took a gamble on buying a Branded Mailing list trust me it is a straight business transaction buying Market Share ! The subscribers on Facebook have value their apps are at a very low level of Abstraction! Semantically Yours!
