But we both know that you are the *real* number
8, MG :-)

Re: Trolling for links: The top tech bloggers

It looks like you've been saved Mathew. Henry isn't combining the multis because of whatever he is doing for CrunchBase with the list. I will stay at #34 and #38 and leave the pressure of being a top 10 to you :)

Re: Bitchmeme: Do blogs deserve advertising?

Louis - you should know as well as anyone that bitchmemes choose you, not the other way around ;)

Re: Elite Tech News Podcast #4

Ha. I
may also have a different take on it after seeing Ocean's 13 and re-watching
Ocean's 11 (which I also just rented).

Re: Movie Notes: Ocean’s Twelve

When I saw it in theaters I thought it was just much too smug, but I watched it again the other night (weird that you wrote on it), and I actually like it. It's not great, but I really like the European angle and think Pitt is particularly good in it.

Re: FriendFeed now flows both ways

Me too, MG -- quite incredible, actually.

On Mon, Mar 24, 2008 at 10:46 PM, Disqus

Re: FriendFeed now flows both ways

I think one of the keys - that you point out - is just how fast the roll out these fixes/new features. Some attempts at straight-talk, some attempts skirting around issues. Status quo will remain status quo, but at least they are putting forth some effort now.

I'm turning into you, writing all over the place :)

Re: Microsoft - the 10,000 pound chicken with its head cut off

Agreed about Ballmer, I think this could be the beginning of the end of his - his last hurrah.

Re: I’m on the road to fame and fortune

Exactly what I meant :)

Re: I’m on the road to fame and fortune

You do mean parislemonade right?

Re: I’m on the road to fame and fortune

You bet Steven, glad you're aboard.

It should probably be noted that I didn't ask Mark to join until a few hours after we taped the podcast, lest anyone thinks there was some conflict of interest (as if it really matter since no one is making anything from this).

Re: ParisLemon was right to rip Window 7 Post

I'm going to stick with writing my story on how OS X 10.9 is going to be the best OS X yet because of all Apple learned from the previous versions...

:)

Re: Wikia search: Let’s give it a break

Agreed Mathew and thanks for rightly catching me mostly going against the grain on this one. If Wikia Search is going to be a success it's going to be the social/communal aspects of it and I don't see how you can deem a site a failure from day one when basically neither of those are in place - at all.

I had been worried about those social aspects after seeing the initial photos where were just a Facebook total rip-off died green, but after seeing they replaced that with a relatively simple and clean-looking social layer I'm a lot more optimistic. As you said, we'll see in 6 months.

Re: Mashable’s Open Web Awards begin

Thanks Mathew - yeah we're all taking nominations so stop on by and leave your favorites for each of the 13 categories in the comments to make sure they make to the next (voting) round.
