I just want you to understand that the purpose is not "Look at porn and you'll go to Hell." God's #1 goal for you is not obedience. If all God wanted was obedience he could get it lol no sweat for him. He's big enough, strong enough. His goal is for your trust. Honestly, if you don't know anything about God, know this: you could NEVER change... you could do whatever you want and God will never love you any less.

This isn't an issue of you going to heaven or hell. It's an issue of reality. You don't have to believe in God to know that porn can and will hurt your life and it DOES ruin lives. I've seen it happen over and over and over again to people. including people who think the bible is a load of crap... it's not just "guilty christians". I'm not condeming porn. i don't support it but i'm not out to shut it down... that's a little idealistic.

Sex was God's idea... he invented it. Despite what some religious people might have told you, God wants you to have an AMAZING and awesome, off the charts sexlife. You CAN have sex whenever and however you want...obviously... But just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Sex will work a lot of different ways but it works BEST in a specific context. ~Fire in your fireplace is a good thing; but if fire gets outside your fireplace it'll burn ur house down.~

And a lot of people share that story. And if you can't control yourself now, what makes you think a wedding ring's gonna change it? in 5, 10, 20 years when the fire's kinda gone down, what makes you think he/she wont look somewhere else? I'm not trying to give you some religious bible-smacking. i'm just warning you, you need to be careful. Pornography is a dead end road. you dont have to believe in God...you know that's true.

This is dumb, he's using a 80GB iPod to compare, the iPod has 60% more storage. The 30gb iPod is much thinner than the Zune, and is what the Zune should be compared to.

what an absurd misuse of intellectual property ideas XVIVO are embarrassing themselves with this huge over-reach. There is obviously nothing approaching copyright infringment in these two examples above. They merely are different artists interpretation of a common theme.

BTW: I tend to think that ID is a pretty much wrong, but none the less it's very weak to try to shut down debate by malicious use of copywrite law.

Stein seems unbowed. The film is at my local metroplex, and Oregon is not exactly the center of the universe. Good for him and shame on XVIVO.

No. It is NOT feedback. He wasn't near anyone else who can read minds. Feedback is when he reads their mind, hears what they say, while they are reading his mind and hearing what they are saying in his mind and it loops through each person over and over again.

For it to be feedback from his mind reading, he would have to be near another person who could read minds with both of them reading each other's minds.

I don't know why this is eligible for this year's awards anyway given that it dates from November 2003.

I think it is eligible because these are the first awards and I didn't see any restriction as to the date of the post.

As to your questions, I do think long and hard and consider myself a Muslim. However, slavery is one of those issues where it is very hard to justify human behavior, whether they be the Salaf or the American founding fathers or others. The only thing I can say is that human society hadn't progressed far enough at the time.

I have a question for you: What is your stance about slavery and the allowance of sex with slaves? In the past? Nowadays?

i disagree with the strength and intelligence formulas. The strength only covers strength in the arms, thus not making it as accurate it can be. as for intelligence, anyone who got over a 14 either doesnt know their intelligence quotient or is lying. Schooling is not an accurate way to measure intelligence, either. If such were the case, then geniuses like Galileo would have a score of around 10. Even Stephen Hawking, the smartest man alive, only has an intelligence score of 16 according to this scale

this sounds great, and maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong...

but I believe this type of 'fiber' which is similarly used in other fabric materials such as bags, carpets, carpet bags, etc. is fairly unhealthy for the body.

Every time the fabric abrades it releases small particles of plastic which we in turn can breath in. Wrapping yourself in it is a good way to increase your chances of breathing more of it in.

I'm all for finding improved ways to design...well, everything, but I don't know if this should be considered a big step in the right direction. At most its sidestepping the problem from one realm (environmental) to another (personal health).

I do believe in God, but on my own terms now. Organized religion has a strange effect. It can draw you, if you haven't been influenced by your home environment. (I was born into a religious family)

But now, I just want to be a good person and serve God, but not win the PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARD at church. It's about the people, not the building.

I hope you all just reconsider God. I'm not one to talk because my recent blog post proves otherwise, but I still feel his presence even when I'm extremely sad. GOD IS REAL, but it takes time for some folks to realize that.
