in Nuclear Power Reborn: Scientific American on rtfa.net
You might find this an interesting look at nuclear from the inside - a viewpoint sorely lacking in most coverage. http://RadDecision.blogspot.com

Mr. Brand has also been kind enough to endorse my thriller novel of nuclear power, which is based on my twenty years in the US nuclear industry and is designed to provide a good overview of the topic for a lay person. I cover the good AND the bad. It is available free online at http://RadDecision.blogspot.com and also in paperback via online retailers.

in Going Nuclear on the synthetic jungle
FYI: Stewart Brand, the founder of "The Whole Earth Catalog" mentioned in Mr. Moore's article, has also endorsed my thriller novel of nuclear power as a way for the lay person to learn the good and the bad of this energy source.

"Rad Decision" is available online at no cost to readers at http://RadDecision.blogspot.com - - and they seem to like it, judging from the reviews they're leaving at the homepage. There's nothing else like it out there.

"Very nice, good pace. The tech was good but not overwhelming." - a reader.

Different topic, but you might be interested to know that Stewart Brand has recently endorsed a techno-thriller novel about the American nuclear power industry, written by a longtime nuclear engineer (me). This book provides an entertaining and accurate portrait of the nuclear industry today and how a nuclear accident would be handled. It is called “Rad Decision”, and is currently running as a serial at RadDecision.blogspot.com. There is no cost to readers.

in Putting the science back in fiction on Morrow Planet
I have written a novel that may meet the standard for science within fiction, though it is as much about technology as pure science. The subject is nuclear power, though, so the boundaries can be unclear.

In any case, I am a longtime nuclear engineer who has written an very detailed thriller about an American nuclear power plant and an impending accident. It is available online and at no cost to readers at RadDecision.blogspot.com. My novel "Rad Decision" has far more scientific and technical information in it that most books of its type. It is meant both to entertain and to educate. The book is getting very good reviews from readers, judging from their comments on the web site front page. You might want to take a look. http://RadDecision.blogspot.com
