Compared to when one of my cats bit off a big chunk of my braid a few years ago (early in my days of going bald), what was left this time was pretty unimpressive.... I've already sorta forgotten where I've put this little remnant, but I think I'll survive without it.

I wish John would dig through his masters and put some stuff online... I'm surprised he hasn't complained about my putting the Shadows and Tall Trees demo online since he has always said that he wants to remaster it. I guess he's too busy covering guitars with snakeskins!

As far as I know, the ebay item you mentioned is a German limited edition vinyl reissue of some of John Bender's cassette releases.

Just a quick note about this.... I'm not really posting this because it's anything groundbreaking or anything of the sort. All this web stuff is just a side interest of mine, and I like learning new things. But, sometimes, I forget these new things, so I thought I would use this space to remind myself—maybe in the process, someone else will find these useful too...

Oh, and one other reason I'm putting this here is the trouble I went through to get it! I first found the link on Yarrost's site to some Russian file-sharing site similar to Rapidshare (at least that's what it seemed like). I tried downloading it from there, but that didn't work. So, he was kind enough to also post it to Rapidshare. Well, Rapidshare is blocked at work, and my extremely slow cellular/wireless card kept truncating the file after about 20MB. So, I had to have Axle download the file for me, giving her instructions while chatting online. Then she didn't know what to do with an RAR file, so I had to wait until Shirvan could decompress it and email the files to me.... Fun times....
