That tweet would get through fine based on my understanding. The only tweets that will be affected are the ones that *begin* with an @username (i.e. if someone that you follow sends me an @reply [assuming you don't follow me, which you don't] like this: "@mclaughj nice blog man!", you won't see it. But if they say "Wow, @mclaughj has a nice blog.", you'll still get it.

I don't agree with Twitter's decision by any means, even though I kept the option disabled. I know that several of my Twitter friends use the option because they'll chime in when I @reply an individual they don't follow. I think it's foolish to take that option (that's disabled by default and shouldn't cause any "confusion") away from the users.

Great post! It's caused me to reflect on what I read through RSS or Twitter that could be considered "info-candy". Very interesting concept, thanks for sharing!

Awesome! This is great for people that use auto-follow! I remember back in the day all these scripts didn't exist, and a tell-tale sign of a spammer was a lot of followed, but not many followers, now they seem to blend in with the "Twitterati" class. I agree that this is a game changing feature!

I agree with Dom and wanted to follow up on the possibility of a Desktop client ( a great idea). If we created a FriendFeed room of of the RSS feed, people could use [Twhirl][http://www.twhirl.org/] in tandem with a FriendFeed account to not only read the feed, but also search, filter and contribute(?).

I think it's a great idea Leo, I would love to see it happen!

Yes, that is the point of seperation of church and state - but Jesse's right, if you say that same-gender marriage is legal, you are effectivley giving the "right" to be married by ANY church regardless of your sexual preference (or the churches stipulations). Church and State are seperate, but unfortunetely, if the two end up clashing, a lawsuit will win.

So, since governent has the ability to overturn church regulations, it is up to the church's to fight against anything that would put any religions' convictions at stake.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mike.

On the issue of "Economy": You're right taxes will probably go up with both candidates, but they will go up more with Obama. One thing I like about the McCain plan is his refunds based on Children; That, to me, says he's making an investment in the future. Obama's plan for the economy is to socialize everything, I think that will only make things worse.

This is actually just using the "Grab" application on the Mac. It's located in /Applications/Utilities/

Can't wait until the launch! Looked at both Yammer and Laconi.ca and didn't quite see a use for our team. But as I look at present.ly, I see out-of-the-box functionality that matches exactly what our development team is looking for!
