Dear Home Reserve,
I Love my new furniture!
I am so impressed with your company. Although my box 2 instructions were missing, I quickly found them on your website and was able to print them out, easy as pie!
All of the instructions were very clear and easy to understand, with great illustrations( unlike most other ready to assemble companies). I was able to put both the love seat and couch together in about 3 hrs all by myself, I really appreciated that aspect as my husband is currently serving overseas. I chose the Altima Pet Care fabric in Merlot and it is just beautiful. These sofas look very expensive in my living room and no one couls possibly guess how economical they really are! They are very comfortable, although a little stiff for now. I think the only downside I 've discovered is that the seats are are not very deep, I will definately need to purchase an ottoman in order to be really comfy. I'm hoping that once the back cushions loose some of their fluff there will be more room on the seat.?
All in all I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would reccomend them to anyone!

I have suffered from panic attacks for about 10 years and for me I could think of all the calm places in the world and that would not help. The drugs were not for me...I feel I have slept 5 years of my life away. I have since cured my panic/anxiety disorder and feel like I can live again...people who don't suffer just can't understand the hell we live in.

I got rid of any questionable sippy cups, and now we use the Kleen Kanteen. It's stainless steel, easy to clean and keeps drink cold, however, it does leak!

I just came across your blog, and 1) its adorable and I love all of your green living advice, and 2) I'm also a 23-year-old caffeine addict. Sundays are the worst for me, because I'm off my weekday schedule and I don't drink coffee the same time. So its nice to see through the comments that I'm not alone (none of my friends are as bad as me).

My favorite way to relax is either to go on a looong walk (especially now that its fall), or pop in a nice movie and fall asleep to it. :)

Regarding point #5... washing your clothes less often also equals less wear and tear. Your clothes will last longer! That's also less wasteful, right? :)

I, too, have the problem of looking very young. If I had to guess my own age, I'd probably say 17. My ex, who is actually a lot older than me, also looks his age, so we made quite the pair running about town. I could never decide if he looked really creepy or I looked really slooty. Does that happen to you and Mike?

Oh, Honey! I totally know how you feel. Recently I've been thinking a lot about work and workiness and how crazy it can sometimes be. For me, I know in my heart that I'll always (knock on wood!) have a full-time job that might not be my "creative passion." And, sometimes, work just gets crazy. Usually, these times pass, as I think this will for you.

In the meantime, all you can do is your best. No one is asking any more of you than that, except possibly yourself. Some tips? Eat out, or cook a huge casserole on the weekend that you can nom on all week. Spend Saturday morning just cleaning, but force yourself to stop before noon so that you can enjoy the afternoon/evening. Ask for help or company from loved ones when running errands so you can get that good human contact. Wake up super early and work out - or don't! Really, for me, working out is always the first thing to go, and I'm okay with that, for a while. But try to be active on weekends!

For me, Sunday is 100% my day for me, to do things that will make me feel good, no matter how busy I am. Sometimes this means doing laundry because I like the way laundry smells or washing the kitchen floor because I truly feel relieved when it's clean or getting work done so that the following week will be easier. And, other times it means sleeping in, watching a movie, going to the farmer's market, taking a nap, and then having a dinner date with a loved one.

This is work, and work is a priority, but you have to know: YOU must be your own FIRST priority. So take care of yourself, relax and try to have fun!

I've been cable-free for about a year, which I thought would be a huge adjustment, since I always had cable, but it really wasn't. Most shows are online and the ones that aren't I can pick up through network television. The only things I miss are Top Chef and Shark Week, but I can live without those if it means one less bill. Plus the number of books I've read so far this year is double last year- excellent perk. :)

Also, I know what you mean. I mean, I'm allowed to wear whatever I want and have whatever crazy hairstyles, piercings, or tattoos I want at my 9 - 7 job... but just HAVING them means all that much. My mission for October is to finally get a bird tattooed behind my right ear. Please hold me to it.

Brand new babies are so amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting one a few years ago. Although I know that i personally don't want kids of my own, just knowing that this real person is here today and wasn't here yeterday is quite a miracle to witness.

I worry everyday about my husband's business. Though, it isn't our sole income, we have put every dime we have into it to try to make it successful. I'm so sorry to hear about the accident. Such an unfortunate way to reach the conclusions about chritianity that many of us did without actual injury. Also shows that God doesn't much care if you're in a wheelchair or not, doesn't it? What a way to show that he "still answers prayer."

I wanted to go even further and agree with a lot of the comments here referencing Malaak. Aside the empirical evidence she too contributes to her daughter's physic scarring with that CHOICE to adorn herself to look like White Women of their natural hair characteristics, she assaulted me and so many by reducing the presciption that an apology was all that we needed in reparations from this country.

I find that she who has been twice lucky to be born of a family that was lucky to be middle-class via the gamble of professional sports leverage, she is also lucky to be upper middle-class to be the wife of another lucky Black man who struck and won by the luck of the draw to parlay fiscal success from being funny.

The two most prominent men in her life are two lucky Black Men that defy even the luck of the average, privilege White Male in that there are not very many open spots to be at the top of relevancy to be reigning comedians or significantly revered sports figures to strike fiscal gold. The top of a pyramid is small and does not have a lot of room and the bottom of a pyramid is wide and defeating.

There are a lot of talented and extraordinary men who just aren't lucky of all races but she was born to one Black man who was lucky to be graced by timing and talent and to be married to one who has been graced by timing and talent. That is not normal...even for White Women to strike in luck of the draw.

So with that, her benefits from their luck, her dad and husband, makes her a legacy benefactor to cushion her natural birthrighted place along with us who are less fortunate to be graced by luck as her peers, not capable of using money and success to cushion our hurts and social strife we still sustain.

Money, power, and success does cushion the curse in the day-to-day struggles for Blacks and that is why so many are disconnected from The Beautiful Struggle we all left behind feel. But she showed a level of ignorance that I know she doesn't even know she committed a social crime against us. I see that of Obama with his elitism that he and Michelle and others that feel for us left behind deny. There is a class difference that makes even our own that different when they are trying to connect and not fall victim to the disconnect.

And that is why I don't want to beat her up over it but she was not qualified to be on that stage speaking for those of us less fortunate of luck to subsidize the lack of social justice to mediate and exonerate our mainstream American depreciated worth.

I hate that Americans heard her and it is archived on tape to use as a point that (like Obama dismissing Rev. Wright's anger as dated) we only need an apology. She was not qualified to speak for us and I wish she told the commentator that she was not that qualified to speak as the de facto representative of Black People that night to answer that question in signing the proxy of power of attorney for all of our opinions on that matter.

Too many people who aspire rightfully and righteously to be better and the best forget or don't know that they one, are not authorized to speak or legislate for us and two, it requires a constant, daily vigilance that while you are trying to aspire, assimilation is part of growing and yet it is part of losing what you think you are protecting. The Black Man can balance both but it is what it is: a curse...a burden...in wearing the mask, taking it off, admitting to the world that sometimes they are making you dizzy, and at times you just need space to breathe to not lose yourself spinning. Double-consciousness is a work-out...a life-long workout that never ends. And I don't think she knows this and that it requires of her a deeper vigilance and education that her Howard degree and pedigree status can't exempt of us not having to journey through.

if you think the chair massage was great, you should try the REAL DEAL. got one for my birthday several years ago and now I dream of them daily. I try to get one each year on my birthday, but we don't always have the $$$ to do it. I wish it was covered by insurance, and that everyone had to get massage at least once a month. I am convinced that the world would be a much happier and more productive place, SERIOUSLY. it's preventative medicine, so to speak. don't know about those back spasms though. that doesn't sound too relaxing. I really don't know what I'm talking about here, but are you drinking enough water? I do know that massage increases circulation and that water helps to carry oxygen to the muscles... I think spasms occur due to lack of oxygen getting to muscles... I am probably very wrong here, but maybe not. it's worth a try. every time I've had a massage, they've always told me to drink lots of water before and after.

I loveeee Boquerones, I actually ate them all the time at this tapas restaurant when I lived in South Beach! Hey Gabriella,

When I saw goat cheese gazpacho with Manzanilla sherry, I had a feeling they would just all overpower or conflict with each other because of all the strong flavors and acidity so it's no surprise you ended with that result, regardless of the fact you didn't puree the bread enough. My first thought for a Manzanilla alternative is a white Port actually. When I toured some of the Port houses in Gaia last summer, I came across a basic white Port from Vasconcelos Oporto & C. that my friends and I fell in love with; it's not as dry and strong in flavor as the Manzanilla but very light and smooth with hints of tropical fruit and honeysuckle. Maybe a Portuguese version of gazpacho (gaspacho) with some soft, fresh goat or sheep's milk cheese from here would be good the second time around!

Wow, glad I stumbled across this post, feels good to know that everyone living in Europe goes through this crap. Like other commenter's posts, it's just as bad in Portugal, I can't even tell you what kind of craziness I've gone through but I'd say one of the worst was not having gas or hot water in my new apartment for the first month because nobody knew what the correct and up-to date regulations were.......then when I finally got it, 2 weeks later it dies right in the middle of my shower on a holiday here so of course no one was available to fix it. I call the very next morning but because it was a Friday, nobody could come until Monday. Luckily I didn't pay anything because I had a warranty on my gas heater but after all of that I've come to learn that anything ridiculous is possible with European bureaucracy...........just got to be patient......

I'm sorry that both sides fight and spit and tear and flame and drag each other down into the mire of hatred, of cruelty, of bitterness, of ungrace, of slander and murder. I came here looking for more information about the sack of Magdeburg, a city I visited two years ago and completely fell in love with. I heard the terrible story of its past the first time while sitting in the courtyard of the Magdeburger Dom, and I could almost feel the pain and blood in the grass. It is a shame and a blot on my faith, one of far too many, and we who believe in divine love must live with it.

If I may offer a thought: it is not Atheists or Christians or Muslims or Buddhists or Taoists or Animists or Agnostics who loot and kill and burn and rape and censor and imprison and oppress. It's people. And they will find any excuse to do it.

But you know and I know that people are also capable of extraordinary good. We know that we can build each other up, repair the things destroyed, create incredible art, and build societies where speech is free. We can give and we can love, and we can heal, if we're willing.

Freedom of thought, freedom to think clearly and debate honestly, to treat each other with respect and love, is not bound by faith, nor does faith exclude it. To accuse someone of bigotry merely because they believe or don't believe in a God or gods is bigotry itself. I think if we are honest, we know we can all use less of that.

Please delete the insults. We can do so much better than that.

I have a real soft spot in my heart for Japan. I was raised in a military family and we were stationed there for 4 years. I think it left a subconscious impression on me that a society does not *have* to be xtian to be successful and ethical, unlike what some americans believe. The Japanese are not perfect, but they certainly seem to function just fine without our particular set of hysterical superstitions.

I noticed floating around the internet the infamous "Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton" so I decided to write my own letter to Mr. Bush and his family:

Dear Mr. Bush and his extended Family:

Thank you for teaching us about family values and once again teaching our country that only the wealthy have proper representation when it comes to matters of law. All of George W. and Jeb Bush's children have been in trouble with the law ranging from alcohol offenses to sexual misconduct and felony prescription fraud and the Bush kids never go to jail or prison. Perhaps the President and Jeb Bush should either lay down the law starting at home, or else they should start caring for the citizens they govern with the same understanding and compassion they use when governing their own children.

Thank you for being a good role model. Bush was convicted of drunk driving and lied to cover it up. He lied at his press conference on 11/3/2000, he lied in court in 1978, he lied to the Dallas Morning News in 1998, he lied to Meet the Press in 1999 and he lied to CBS in 1999. Bush now justifies covering up his arrest "to be a good role model for his daughters." How does he figure that? Lying to cover up your crimes is not what I call being a good role model. Taking responsibility for your actions, admitting fault honestly and warning people of the consequences you suffered, THAT would be a good example. In fact, Bush's running mate Dick Cheney now admits he had two drunk driving offenses in 1962 and 1963, giving the Bush -- Cheney ticket a new world record of 3 DUI's on one ticket. The conviction is bad enough, but the real question is, what other revelations are going to come later, about his drug use (which he won't deny), failing to show up for a year of his National Guard service (which he joined to get out of serving in the Vietnam war), or sexual escapades in his swinging single days? Bush sought and received favored treatment and got out of serving in the Vietnam War and has weaseled like Clinton at his worst and even flat out lied when explaining what happened.

Bush has also lied under oath in the funeral-gate investigation. Bush perjured himself under oath, according to the sworn testimony of two of his political allies. The situation is amazingly similar to Clinton's Lewinsky problem: a potentially damaging lawsuit arose that threatened to involve him. Just like Clinton, Bush swore in an affidavit that he had no involvement in the case, which got him excused from testifying. And just like Clinton, the affidavit was proven false months later by new evidence.

Perhaps he learned all of this from his daddy who lied during the investigation of the Iran-Contra affair when he denied approving the illegal plan at a top-level meeting with Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger and Secretary of State George Shultz. He obstructed justice when he pardoned Weinberger, Poindexter and others for their crimes committed in Iran-Contra, which blocked the Independent Counsel's investigation and prevented a full investigation of his own role in the affair. He also lied when he called Clarence Thomas the "most qualified" candidate for nomination to the Supreme Court, and obstructed justice when he appointed him to serve despite Thomas' record as a sexual harasser and his absolute opposition to abortion rights and civil rights for women and minorities. Lets not forget that rumors about Bush's own "Jennifer" have never been laid to rest. Thank you George, Jr. for appointing two Iran-Contra criminals to diplomatic posts - John Negroponte and Otto Reich.

Thank you for being responsible for the deaths of Japanese students resulting from the submarine "fun ride" for Republican contributors. You then set up the sub commander to take the fall and scarcely one month after the disaster, you quietly resume "joyrides for Republicans" on submarines. (at least the Lincoln bedroom never killed anybody). I guess my argument with the world social forum is not its intent or philosophy, but the kind o false dichotomy these types of events reinforce. Basically, having a social rather than economic forum automatically sets up the rational versus feeling argument. While the same issues with economic implications are inextricably linked to social justice, by naming it a World SOCIAL Forum, don't you think it sets itself up to be marginalized and subordinated. However, I do see as a feminist how the soical and communiaction versus war and so-called patriachal paradigms make us all skeptical of how much dealing with socail jsutice can seriously impact economic empowerment and issues like debt cancelation or the WTO.

I think this story shows how people can change when tragedy strikes. Gregors whole family had to transform themselves when he was no longer there in human flesh and blood. His mother and father had stopped working and his father gained weight while Gregor was around because there was no longer any need for them to be productive. Then when the unfortunate metamorphosis took place they were forced to get out and work for the things they needed to live. His father returned to the working Mr. Samsa, his mother also went back to work and his sister quickly grew into a young lady. The metamorphosis was a tragedy for the family, but in the end his father, mother and sister all grew in a positive way from it.

I made this last night, and it was divine! Whilst it was still steaming hot I spread cinnamon cream cheese frosting (left over from making cinnamon rolls a few days ago) on top, which really distinguished it as a dessert rather than a bread. Thanks for the recipe! I put it in my "to make again" file.

This has nothing to do with cinnamon bread, I just wanted to say that I am making Sour Cream Chili Bake for dinner tonight and I'm so excited! We usually have chili and cornbread for Halloween, but through strange circumstances (daughter being baptized, made WAY too much chili, had two pots full left over) we are all over chili for a while. But this casserole still looks good to me. Thanks!

We were already told that this economic package was going to update our infrastructure... unfortunately for the country that means cars.

I used to live in Sandpoint Idaho, where there was a tiny bridge connecting us to the next major city, Coeur D'Alene. Many of you would find the upgrade of the bridge an abomination, a huge multi-lane that cut down a swath of trees and detoured around where the old bridge was. However, trying to cross that bridge, in the dark, on the ice, with a logging truck coming the other way? Which my mother had to do pretty much every day to get to work. I would take cutting down an acre of trees to save the lives of all us hippies who lived up there.

Until we live in a world with efficient and safe mass-transit, cars are going to be something we have to deal with. I, for one, am impressed with their organization and willingness to approach the economic package in the spirit it was sent, infrastructure improvement.

Yep, agreed with many of you folks..

a) They's just out for a walk, with no agenda except to enjoy themselves. (generally speaking)

b) They're probably doing more environmental harm than good via the impact of park rangers/employees maintaining trails with vehicles (usually ATV's) and landscaping tools (which use gas or other fuels). Also, in order to maintain hiking trails park employees often have to build roads too so that vehicles can access the hiking trails for maintenance.

c) The destruction of trees, plants, animal habitats, and possibly the animals themselves, to CREATE and maintain these trails.

d) Hikers are definitely not the reason why governments go out of their way to conserve nature. In fact, most serious conservation projects BAN hikers from the conservation area in order to protect it.

Just wondering.. I'm hearing an awful lot about global warming and environmental sustainability/responsibility, but why aren't people talking about HAARP? Especially since the US government has recently (2005) passed a bill supporting weather modification (in the past HAARP was used as a "communication" system, but now it's a "weather modification" system).

Two interesting points I came across while doing light research into the HAARP program:

1 - HAARP has been used to create hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, and rain.

2 - More power is generated by a hurricane than all of the world's power grids combined.

And, why is it that there is so much data linking the hurricanes the US has been suffering from over the past couple of years, and project HAARP? If you read some BBC articles (or other non US based media sources) they seem to be talking about - and linking together - HAARP and hurricane Katrina an awful lot. But here in North America, there's no mention of this apparently infamous project HAARP in the general media. I find this a bit more interesting and sinister than global warming at the moment.

Anyone else have any comments on HAARP?

I commend Aveda's efforts, but at the same time, Aveda as a company is just SLIGHTLY hypocritical. I used to work in an Aveda salon and even before I jumped on the "Green Train" I was blown away by the amount of packaging they use to ship their products from head office. I'm talking boxes in boxes in boxes. Ridiculous amounts! They would have a smaller box containing all the products they sent taped up, put in a bigger box with an empty box beside the one full of products all surrounded by "buffering paper". And the empty boxes would always say something like, "80% recycled"... what does that matter when you're being so wasteful?! Not to mention the amount of useless flyers they would send to us to give to the customers. It's pointless... people would just throw out the flyers anyway or toss them on the ground. They would literally send probably about 150 every couple months or so. And the salon I worked at didn't have a recycling bin (I tried to make one and it got thrown out... oh the irony!) so it was all just sent to the landfill. I realize this part wasn't Aveda's fault, but anyway, I digress. I just think if Aveda wants to promote themselves as a company that cares they should look at all aspects of their company, not just the parts that the public sees! I think it's cowardly of Aveda to have such double standards. If you look at the ingredients of their products they aren't exactly "environmentally friendly" either. They're cheap and easy to obtain. Lame! Which is why I just can't buy Aveda products (and thus support the company) until they clean up their act - the act that the public doesn't see.

Democrats have controlled Congress for years--they could have changed so much, one would think. I hope this case brings about clearer laws against this kind of behavior. Clearly Lori Drew is a sociopath--she's never expressed in any way that she realizes the enormity of her actions and their result. Ok, I've been reading a TON about this story because I knew Chris and his family personally.

Many articles are saying that according to the victim, Chris contacted her on SEVERAL occassions before hand to meet up to have sex. It was out in the open, she knew what he wanted. SHE DECIDED AFTER WEEKS OF NOT MEETING WITH HIM TO FINALLY DO IT. She knew what he wanted. And at no time did anyone hold a gun to her head and say, take these drugs and have sex with me. I feel like his life is ruined (and it should be because what he did was wrong) but lets place some apprioriate blame elsewhere. This girl knew what she was getting into... and where were the parents. Im 25 years old, i never had it as bad as this kids to now, with all the temptation out there... HOWEVER, when I was 15, my parents knew where i was every second of the day.

Its strange because recently I was forced to move back in with my mom and dad for a temp fix, and I am going out in my hometown and I see these girls that look like they are 21 years old that are not legal. We can not blame the children of this generation for what is happening. S"he can not be held at fault for what happened or is not old enough to make these kinds of decisions..." that leaves it up to the adults. I feel like the second she decided to take drugs with a stranger, she decided to play adult. Who lets these kids out dressed the way they are, out all hours of the nights, and doing drugs with strangers. Who doesn't montior their internet use? As long as there are sickos out there, its the parents job to shield their children.

Like i said, being a family friend, it is troubling. To see a story like this from this angle is heartbreaking.

It's not that a statue of limitations needs to be imposed on forgiveness - it's that in order to forgive, one must realize what trust has been transgressed. While I agree that smoking is always a bad thing, especially in someone with (what appears to be severe) asthma, it's also apparent from the med list that the patient has bipolar disorder or schizophrenia (Clozapine) and IBS (Bentyl). Smoking can ameliorate the symptoms from both of those illnesses. I'm almost always 100% anti-smoking, but in this case, knowing only this patient's med list, I'd say that she (I'm assuming "she" from the Boniva) may have other, bigger issues than this.

I don't think he's asking for a bailout so much as pointing out that the current proposals award bad behavior. It doesn't sound like his behavior was bad.

First of all, I'd like to point out that depending on where you live, $460k isn't all that off of what a 3-4 bedroom home in a neighborhood with decent schools would cost. My inlaws' 3-bedroom house would probably go for $600k now (they built in the 1970s).

Think about it. A schoolteacher may not make that much money, but a PR executive probably makes six figures, so between them they can probably afford their home. He points out that he and his wife both have good jobs and "have never missed a mortgage payment." Their house has dropped in value, so theoretically if they tried to sell it right now they'd be taking a not insignificant loss.

I read this as him saying, "Look, my wife and I didn't get in over our heads. We didn't buy a house we couldn't afford, as is evidenced by the fact that we've been making our monthly payments. This housing crisis has hurt us, too, in that we've suffered a great depreciation on our home. Why is it that the people who got stupid ARMs for houses they couldn't ever afford are getting a bailout and we, the responsible people, get nothing?"

That's how I read it.

La mia ragazza mi ha lasciato da 3 mesi per un tipo ke ha conosciuto grazie ad una mia "amica"!!
Qualche settimana fa si fa risentire e mi dice ke nn sta cn nessuno e mi pensa ancora, ma non crede ke il nostro rapporto possa tornare come prima.Io in un primo momento la mando a quel paese (stavamo insieme da 2 anni) ma poi ci ripenso e ieri l'ho chiamata. Lei mi ha trattato come nenanche un cane randagio si tratta e io nn mi vergogno di dirlo ho pianto tantissimo stando a telefono con lei. Mi diceva soltanto crudeltà allo stato puro e allora io le ho detto ""ma se pensi tutte queste cose brutte perchè nn mi dici ke nn mi ami più così mi metto l'animo in pace??""" Sapete come mi ha risposto?
Nn te lo dico perchè può darsi ke mi accorgo ke stando lontano da te ti amo ancora!!!! Ha detto vivi la tua vita come se nn stessi con me, poi io se mi accorgo ke voglio te torno , altrimenti nn ci posso fare niente!!

ciao a tutti.........mi fa piacere vedere che nelle sabbie mobili siamo in molti.....che dire...mi amava alla follia,dovevamo sposarci..bambini...famiglia...ma a quanto pare...ha cambiato idea..e quando avevo piu bisogno di lui..si può dire d amare ma vivere d orgoglio?.....anche perchè poi subentrano paura e delusione e pur amando quel ragazzo che lontano dalle 'grinfie 'di mamma,sorella,lavoro...bla bla bla...diventa semplice,dolce,cosi..passerotto da sciogliermi in un attimo..per poi ricambiare,tornare orgoglioso,assente,in attesa continua dei miei passi nei suoi confronti..e vedersi ogni 2 o 3 sett..ci sono difficolta oggettive,anche salutari,ma l educazione,le premure,il famoso fiocco rosso insomma..puo soccombere ai sensi di colpa e problemi?...o forse..da un punto in poi... è carattere..... chi ama cè..secondo me..e quando una persona davvero ti scorre nelle vene....come puoi farne a meno?...un abbraccio a tutti.

Hola Silvi, te cuento que en mi familia tenemos 1 perro mestizo, 1 pitbull, 2 yorkies y yo en mi casa también tengo 2 yorkies y 1 labrador. De tooooda esa camada, el mestizo ha mordido a media familia (a mi me mordió el pie) una de las yorkies ha querido morder a gente en la calle (ya no la sacan mucho) y de mis yorkies, el macho le mordió la mano a mi esposo. Pero Nakata la pitbull (5 años), jamás, ni siquiera nos ha gruñido, es un amor de perra, jamás la hemos maltratado, es un poco tosca cuando quiere jugar, pero a los niños (sobrinos y primitos) los trata con dulzura y cuidado y no se les abalanza a jugar como puede hacer con nosotros. Esa perra ha sido criada con cariño, y cuando un extraño ha entrado a la casa con alguno de la familia, ella se comporta bien. Me da pena que los satanizen, porque con responsabilidad, un entrenamiento básico y sin maltratos éstos animales pueden ser tranquilos. Otra cosa es que hay gente que tiene parejas de perros de ésta raza, y cuando la perra está en celo, el macho se pone muy celoso y puede ser insoportable y agresivo, creo que si se cria uno de éstos perros se debería tomar en cuenta éste tipo de cosas.
Lo bueno de la ley, es que al fin se protege a los animales, y se regula la tenencia de éstas razas, porque debería ser así, regular no prohibir. Lo malo es que no queda claro que pasará con los perros que no pasen "la prueba", serán sacrificados? ya veremos cómo la va a mi Nakatita.

Any potty training tips? I totally do the same thing with trying to gauge other people's weights and whether or not my body looks like theirs. But I never really thought of it as a bad thing! I think most of us, unless we frequently see ourselves on video, have no real idea what our body looks and moves like in the real world. We only know our practiced mirror poses. :) So I feel like it's kinda normal to try to find other people who have a similar body type to you so you can watch them and be like, "ok, maybe that's how *I* look when *I'm* walking around!" I think it's only kind of bad if you're start getting too obsessed with whether you look better or worse than that person. :)

Ha ha ha, remedial class! That made me laugh. I totally know the kind of meeting you mean. ;)

I’ve been switching between two different meetings and I’m really lucky that I like both leaders and both groups, but I’ve been to crappy meetings too. Once I even got yelled at by the receptionist for daring to be upset about a gain! YEAH. Needless to say I never went back to that meeting!!

As for the evening weigh-ins, it doesn't really matter what you eat -- only the first weigh-in is bad! Then each week after that, as long as you eat roughly the same things as you ate the last week, you will still be tracking an accurate amount of weight loss. If that makes sense! Also some people at the meeting will be crazy and tell you to stop drinking water at noon that day, etc. but don’t do it! I find the more I drink the better, b/c I’m constantly running to the bathroom. The only real thing I do before an evening weigh-in is try to avoid anything with soy sauce, b/c it makes me puff up like a blowfish!

God, what is it with summers, eh? I don't know if this is common for you, but I ALWAYS seem to have these emotional breakdowns in the summer! I've been having one for the last couple weeks over my lack of friends and social life, but the content seems to vary from year to year. It's just ... always something.

Anyway, we've missed you! I hope you can start posting again but I get it if you're not ready. And PLEASSSSE don't feel like you've failed! I think these kind of set-backs are normal! I mean, like with your thesis for example. Yes, it sucks BIG TIME that you lost that work, but you aren't going to drop out of school because of it, right? It doesn't make you a failure, right? It's a setback, and maybe a good-sized one, but it doesn't mean you aren't going to finish your thesis and go on to other fabulous things. :)

Anyway, take care, missy! I know it's hard to think straight when life keeps kicking your ass, but you'll come through the other side of this, I just know it!

Great job! I went for my first run yesterday, and it was about the same -- good, then hard, then not too bad! But mostly I was just psyched to get through all the running bits. :)

Another great tool for checking your distance is www.mapmyrun.com You can get pretty accurate, and even map in the tiny distances, like where you crossed a street.

I was thinking of doing food pics too! I especially like food bloggers like Kath Eats Real Food -- it's really interesting to me to see how well thin, healthy people eat -- I think I always had these misguided ideas that either they ate as much crap as they wanted and 'it's not fair that I can't do that too!' or that they eat nothing but rabbit food, and 'there's no way I'm going to do that!'. I like this post a lot! I'm going to refer back to it next time I find myself feeling bummed with a 'measly' half-pound loss. :) Anyway, your inches results are amazing -- you definitely have a right to be pleased with that! I totally know what you mean about keeping yourself distracted from food. For me it's KNITTING. I love it, and on top of being distracting for my brain, it's also distracting for my hands. :) (Plus when you start being a yarn snob, like me, and buying super nice EXPENSIVE wool, you start being pretty militant about NO FOOD ANYWHERE NEAR IT. Hehe.)

Me parece vergonzoso que el Gobierno de Yucatán insista en hacer uso de las zonas arqueológicas para la realización de espectáculos. Es un pésimo negocio y crea un ambiente de tensión entre los que promueven estas presentaciones y quienes están en contra. Snällasnällasnällasnälla erik, du har en sjukt bra musik smak och när du gjorde önskelåtarna så blev jag helt kär i låtarna du gjorde med van halen och skid row. kan inte du skriva dina favorit/älsklingslåtar? jag vill lyssna på lite bra musik och din musiksmak = min musiksmak, haha :D skulle vara roligt om du ville göra det :)

Just remember AD, the more you resist, the more she may push back. One hole in each ear is REALLY not that big a deal. You can put your foot down on the other piercings and tats and so on, but be sure not to drive her to rebel even harder by resisting even the simplest of piercings.

Pick your battles. :)
