I watched the ad and I think that we'll have to wait to see what its really about... it's that simple. But I'll never forget the ass wiggle for sure. But Bill Gates in an ad with Jerry Seinfeld is a great idea, in my opinion. It shows the humor of the creator of the company that they are trying to sell (or the products anyway), making him more "cool" (like the mac guy in the ads). We'll have to wait to see if it worked though.

i think they are trying to make him like the "PC" guy-- who i think appeals to more of america than the elitist "Mac" guy. gates is shown to be somewhat thrifty, and somewhat set in his ways, even with his known genius and success. this advertisement basically neutralizes the monopoly image that microsoft may have and undermines apple's underdog image. by making bill gates goofy (and Apple plays into this too by making the PC guy goofy), we make microsoft the underdog.
