All using the example of Heskey does is is add weight to my argument, he played for Liverpool and England despite never having a good scoring record, and the reason is he is a great partner for players up front, and because of him more goals were scored despite him not being greedy, far from it in fact.

No player should be selfish, it's about the team scoring not one player.

You can't be serious. United's defence is one of the best around, and a hell of a lot better than Barca's. Barcelona look shaky at full strength at the back, never mind which how weakened they'll be in Rome.

Uh.. what? Rooney has scored 65 goals for United in the league along, and as if no one rates him in Europe ha ha, he's usually the one most managers pick out as United biggest threat along with Ronaldo!

Football doesn't work like that, the scoreline is what decides games, not how attacking either team were. Chelsea couldn't score, but neither could Barca, so neither deserved to win, and the scoreline was a fair one.

Why wasn't there any punishment for Barca's persistent and frankly pathetic diving? There's no shame in playing defensively against Barca in the Nou Camp with the attacking talent they've got and the form they're in, but there's is absolutley NO excuse for diving, Barca fans should be ashamed, Alves was an absolute embarrassment.

In the Champions League maybe, usually they're a horrible team to watch.

Great result for the Gunners, nice to see Wilshere on the score sheet but I'm not sure about Sheff Wednesdays keeper, most of those should have been saved IMO.

No offence mate but if you don't know why Heskey was there then you don't know much about football, Heskey was the main reason England did so well, without him England wouldn't have had as much space around the box as the did, he was one of our best players.

He's good yes, like a slightly lesser Gerrard, but because of this you'll never get the best out of him with Lampard on the pitch. He only came into his own last season when Lampard was injured.

These highlights are flattering, as England were abysmal. I can tell you right now why they're playing so poorly, it's lack of movement. And not movement off the ball, for once that was OK, it's just that our players, the older ones especially don't run with the ball and create opportunities. As soon as Jenas and Bentley came on they looked a different side. This game more than any other has convinced me that Bentley needs to take Beckhams place, and Lampard just isn't right for the team anymore. Hargreaves for Barry would be good too, not to mention Rooney paired with Walcott.

Portugal look good going forward, but they look a mess at the back. From set pieces they were all over the place and Ferreira can't play left back to save his life, any decent right winger will make a mug of him. I can't see the Portuguese keeping the Germans out if they keep defending this way.
