I'm disappointed that you didn't mention your thoughts on the animal 'daemons' in the book and movie.

If I were a parent, that factor would be what would alarm me the most. I wouldn't want my children to think there is such a thing as a 'good demon' or wishing they had some sort of helper spirit other than the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, for a more mature young person, it may be a good point to discuss that sometimes evil/troublesome things can come in attractive packages....

I think it is very important to recognize when the Holy Spirit speaks to us. Sometimes God will tell us, go invite your neighbor to church. Of course, we need to listen for His voice and obey every day. I had a friend who was severely depressed when we were in high school. I invited her to church, she accepted Christ as her savior and tried to keep coming for a while. Later told me that if she hadn't gone to those services, she may have killed herself; she said they gave her hope. If I hadn't listened to God's voice and obeyed, who knows what may have happened. But there are other times when God just wants us to be a friend; i think maybe if I had been a more dedicated friend to her and not just foolishly assumed that once she got saved my job was done, she would still be following Christ. Unfortunately she is not today.

If you are friends with someone, and are interested in their life and participate in it in a non-judgmental way, they will most likely reciprocate. One of the ways they may reciprocate might be by going to church with you. But unless 1. The Holy Spirit speaks to me, or 2. I really think they would be interested in going because they have expressed some kind of interest in something having to do with church activities or my beliefs, I no longer invite non-Christians to church (usually). I do invite Christians who don't have a church home or don't attend anywhere regularly all the time, though.

The trouble is that we can't for SURE say that most of the things posted in any museums are REALLY FACT. Not that science can't provide any answers, but it's very very difficult to prove things that happened thousands of years ago, in spite of technology, research, etc. So you might as well say that about a regular museum (at least when it comes to the paleontology dept.).

That lady seriously needs to lose weight. Especially if she is going to have to keep up with a bunch of kids. I hate that so many christians are overweight. We should value our bodies more.
