I had the chance to work with Moriba Jah at a local TEDx Salon on Technology. His ability to convey complex info in a compelling way with energy - and an element of fun - was next level. Glad to see him speaking on this important topic.

The #Zebra / #ZebrasUnite movement is one of the most important I've seen since the dawn of the VC-backed startup craze. It addresses the faults of that focus on unicorns and often unsustainable growth in favor of a different, more inclusive approach to startups that's healthier for founders, employees and their communities alike.
This would be a fantastic panel at SXSW!

That's a terrible question!
There's two approaches I think are more powerful:
1. Reduce barriers to participation for *all* entrepreneurs
2. Increase opportunities for participation and leadership for under-represented groups
Boiling those down to simple, essential instructions, that's either "reducing barriers" or "increasing inclusion" each of which can be acted upon, though I suspect the reducing barriers approach might be a little more actionable - and more in sync w/ the #ZeroBarriers campaign.

I'm often a little troubled/frustrated by the way this is framed & introduced.While helpful and necessary, the subhead to this doesn't directly address the problem of barriers to access to resources (thinking broadly) for entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs who face more obstacles.
The closer we get to working actively to help reduce barriers to entrepreneurship, the more effective we can be (in my opinion).

Where's the easiest place to find the Diversity Dashboard Survey instrument?
I'd love to thank/encourage folks who are participating in my region, but I'm not sure who they are.

While Civic Tech has long been an interest of mine, my go-to person for knowledge in this space - and about practical applications cities can take on right now - has been Lisa Abeyta. With the different perspectives of this panel's participants it feels like the audience will get a full picture of what's possible and not the promise.
