Nothing special about this loaf; just a loaf of basic white. Most bread is vegetarian. Some deranged people use milk or eggs in there though.

I'm not sure what the casing is made of... just plastic I think. The cashier at Whole Foods asked the same question but that was before she realized they were vegan :)

I'm not sure if there is an official definition for "passive-use park" but from the sign at the park, I believe it just means there aren't to be any organized sports taking place there.

As for the macadamia... you'll have to bug Colleen into actually responding to your comment to get the real answer!

I'd love to hear your chard recipes though. We came up with a pretty good one but we're getting a bit tired of fixing it all the time so a new recipe or two wouldn't hurt :)

Why doesn't anyone have any fried brussels sprouts with tofu recipes? This is bacon AND tofu you know :-p

Hopefully Colleen will tell you the "rules" of roasting since I don't have all the details. I know that she tossed them in some olive oil and sprinkled on salt and freshly ground black pepper but that's about it.

It was tough at first but Rubi is actually quite a bit bigger and has a red hue to her. Plus they have very different personalities, which helps out :)

Now Colleen (and to some extent I) need to stop calling them "he" :-P

Thanks to everyone who sent me their birthday wishes and especially to Colleen who baked a really yummy chocolate cake! It was the first time I had a cake with candles in many years! Now I can proceed to act like an old man :-P
