Not sure about Roma. It would be wonderful to play at home in the final, but I really don't think that they bought enuff reenforcements to make it in the CL.

What about Malaga? Not one goal scored yet. Also the whole controversy that they "stole" promotion by playing "illegal" players from La Real. Numancia is slowing down as well. Looks like the newcomers are just placeholders this year.

Bilbao has always played a very physical style of football. I do not condone the horrific tackle, but per norm the media sensationalizes the tackle and the entire situation. Trying to make a story out of anything. Andoni apologized, let's move on.

I agree with most of your predictions except , I think Milan will LOSE to Lazio and Genoa will upset and BEAT Palermo away. Lazio is going to have a strong first half thanks to Zarate. And look out for Diego Milito to impress at Genoa.

Valencia was disappointing. Ashame that Villa got hurt too. But a win is a win. Even though Depor lost, it was nice to see Valeron back to his old creative self. Not sure why Lotina keeps changing the line up. I have faith that the Gallegos can do the business at the Riazor. Um I believe Racing beat Honka 1 nil and now Munitis is injured and will be out for 6 weeks. Aw the pleasures of Europe and more games. But nice to see Racing in the Euro mix for the first time.

I actually think this would be a good idea and build alot of rivalry. I am not sure if it will be watchable in the initial stages, but you never know. I hope it will recruit the best and have a cantera or youth system that molds the best. Also a great scouting program. Without this, the team would not excel.

Kartik, it's because the European leagues and Champions League have started and MLS, is frankly second tier. That is why it is passé. It happens every year. I would rather watch La Liga, Liverpool and Roma. Nuff said. Quite frankly the Latin influence is MLS has made it watchable.

Juan, nice to see you writing about some of the smaller teams. It's early doors though, I wouldn't doom Athletic to relegation just yet.

Yes they are trying to sign their pearls. They just signed Amorebieta and Javi Mar. They are having talks with El Gallo Extebe. Markel Susaeta will probably be reupped sometime this season based on how he performs. The kid is class, but with just one season under his belt, they are being cautious.

Joseba Del Olmo is a new signing and still hasn't played in the first team this season.

The average age is around 24 years of age, so it is a young group that just needs polishing.

This is great news for fans in Spain will have more games available on TV, especially other Spanish teams and get away from the BS fight between Sogecable and Media Pro. Maybe we in the US can get more Spanish games on the air as an added benefit. We need to bombard and email GOL TV for more games!
