They ruined his personal life and mine. He never had a proper family of his own & neither have I. I have no doubt he regretted the legal actions he was pressured, bullied & coerced to take against me, resulting in my being defamed all over the British press. May those responsible carry their treachery as a heavy burden for the remainder of their days. RIP Bruno. Your memory will be eternal.

Re: 5 Questions About DACA Answered

There appears to be an error in the 2nd paragraph of your article. DACA does not give them the right to go to school. They already have that right per a Supreme Court decision made decades ago (I don't know the title of it, but I believe it was brought by a young Mexican in the 60s). It gives any child with an address in a school district anywhere in the USA the right to a public education in that district. No other country in the world does this and this is surely the reason why these kids were brought here by their parents. The point is their parents came to this country so their kids could get a decent US education to better themselves, courtesy of the US taxpayer. It may not be politically correct to say it, but they have already hugely benefited by that and it's disingenuous of the media to not report it. There are towns & cities all over this country with school districts full of undocumented minors getting a free education (and learning English) who are not DACA recipients.

Re: Cape Cod Beach Closes After Shark Bites Paddleboard

We are living in an experiment. He really knows what he's talking about & pity those in England didn't listen to him & others. Wish he had addressed influence of right wing tabloid press. According to what one of Britain's longest serving politicians, Kenneth Clarke MP, the press runs Britain as he told The Leveson Inquiry, held to rein in the British press after phone hacking exposure. In his evidence, he said Parliament ran the country when he started in politics 40 years ago. Without The Daily Mail and The Sun tabloid headlines, Brexit would not have succeeded.

Re: Shame: What Is It Good For? A few things stood out. Prince Charles has charisma & did a great job all around. He seemed to really make an effort with his many hosts (supplied by a very indulgent US govt) & the public he encountered. Camilla has little charisma & appeared out of her depth. She may be good one on one, but that's not really the job. So, as the writer suggests above, one has to question if she is even up to the role of consort, let alone Queen.

The sad fact is Diana was most definitely up to the job & would have been a huge asset to Charles & Britain. She had charisma in spades. Sorry to say it, but if Camilla had not been around, Charles & Diana would have likely endured & made a brilliant team. Add their 2 sons & they would have made a dynamic first family, as the Americans would see them. It is Britain's huge loss & there are many who should have seen this coming....(PS Mark Bolland not being one)

Re: The future was looking bleak for a poor little Greek Boy who had turned 30, but then I met Arnaud de Borchgrave

Taki, One of your best columns ever. Was my nemesis, Suzanne Maltzahn, there? The one who used false evidence to libel me a stalker across the British press and beyond so she could hold onto her man, Bruno Schroder. She and Bruno can expect another libel claim to be served on them soon.

Re: Architect of libel reform Lord Lester condemns 'outrageous' Royal Charter and says IPSO must be given time to work

With all due respect to Lord Lester, there is nothing in the Defamation Act 2013 for those of us libeled by the press. It does not improve our access to justice in any way. In fact, the Defamation Act 2013 has empowered the press via the single publication rule. It is shocking that it happened at the same time the government was trying to find a way to implement Lord Justice Leveson's proposals.

The libel reform camp, of which Lord Lester leads, and the Leveson fan club camp, are on opposite sides of the free speech spectrum. That no one, from the government, the opposition, Hacked off or Lord Justice Leveson himself, sought to try to bring these two groups together while the Inquiry was sitting is the ultimate tragedy in this sorry saga. From my point of view, Britain still has the most unaccountable press in the civilised world with a legal system unable to properly hold them to account. Not sure even LJ Moses can sort this out. I'm more impressed with The Impress Project. Jonathan Heawood seems capable of seeing both sides.

Re: We old men are afraid of death – but not much else

Do the Chinese know anything about hubris? It is ripe for abuse as this incident shows. What is so extraordinary is that I only thought the abuse was in the civil courts, where it can also be used with a penal notice. I included him as a defendant because he provided a libelous quote to The Daily Mail. His solicitor and counsel, the latter being David Sherborne of Leveson victim fame, got my libel claim against him stayed for costs, then struck out.

The Daily Mail chose the same tactic and unbelievably obtained an order staying my claim for costs, where it remains. I intend to do something about it. The judiciary has a lot to answer for knowing the wealth of the parties, yet staying my claims against them for costs. I believe this is one of the reasons LJ Leveson froze me out of the Inquiry, along with the fact David Sherborne could not represent me. Time to hold the very wealthy to account.

Re: Barclay brothers top journalism industry figures on Rich List with £6bn fortune

Don't forget Bruno Schroder, no. 32, whose family firm, Schroders plc owns 11% of DMGT, The Daily Mail Group, and 16% of Trinity Mirror.
