The editing works great for the dance sequences and stills, but it might be a little too fast on the opening part - for my taste. Maybe if it had cut back a little bit instead of forwards?
Good job.
(Having said that, looking at it a second time it seems just right.)

That is looking really gorgeous, you could stop there and I would be happy with it.
(On a side note; maybe I am just obsessed, but does the profile look a bit like Gwyneth Paltrow?)

Hallo Chris,
I'm slightly frightened and intrigued at the same time. I'm looking forward to checking it out.
As always, thanks for writing, Chris, & a very Merry Christmas to you, too.

Hey, don't you mean Seurat, or Serault?
(Are there different spellings? I have been searching Seraut, but it keeps coming up Seurat or Serault. Or is it one of those van Goh / van Goff things?)

Dearest Chris,
Good catch! Please forgive me, I can't spell. Thank you for pointing it out—I just changed it.
Cheers,

Okay, I'm not so sure now, it seems they do have an animatable face rig. Diffuse, spec and normal maps, shape keys.
I take it you have seen this?

I was going to ask about that, because I read about this a few days ago and the other animation they have on their website isn't nearly as impressive; though it is still not bad.

in Taiwan-bound. Be back 7-20-2008! on Ninja vs Penguin
Thanks Stephanie, I guess I got here too late.
If it hadn't been for you I would have been the letter left lying on the doormat - probably the last thing you want to find when you come back from a trip is someone reminding you of who you were before you went away!

What, they don't have internet in Taiwan?
Seriously though, enjoy. Sounds like a life experience opportunity for you both.
See you when you get back !

Wow! I remember you saying the last trip was interesting, but it sounds like your own visit is turning into documentary lore.
I hope it is as enjoyable as it is challenging.

Strange to think then, that there are art works all over the world that are a little bit Penguin.

PS - Surely helping the motorists is cheating. I mean, you can't photograph them like there is no one to help them, then roll up your sleeves and fix the car for them.

I agree that it is often a context thing. I have just been looking at Donald Judd sculptures and no matter how many times I go back to them I still just can't get enough, they seem so 'right' proportionally and even compositionally.
I take your point on the peeling paint idea too. I did go back and look again to make sure, and there is something interesting there, but, I don't know; it's just not got enough, dare I say depth? Though I know you could argue that. (That shallowness you sometimes feel during quiet times when there is no one there?)
Actually, I have an 'Ask Ninja' question. Are you busy?

I don't mean any offense, but most of those I find rather dull - in the sense that I already know how to look at the world like that. Not that I'm looking for commercial whizz or bang, it just seems maybe like looking at a still pond that doesn't reflect anything. Am I being unfair?
(I have to thank you for introducing me to ecotone though.)
