In Prince Georges County, Maryland, where I graduated from high school, 50 hours of community service was a requirement for graduation. I don't see that as an issue. I'd gladly do community service if it was going to shave a few thousand dollars off of my 35,000 dollar tuition.

I turned on DL's show and I couldn't make it through a whole 10 minutes. It was not funny and still full of the same jokes that just drag us down in the eyes of America. I was really really upset about it. I'm hoping the show ends its run VERY quickly.

First the "Black in America" travesty and then this, thanks CNN.

Haven't seen chocolate news yet, but at least it's on Comedy Central and not a major news network like CNN. -.-

I grew up and still live in the Washington DC area-- you wouldn't believe how many parents in Washington, D.C. would use the addresses of family members just to get their kids into my suburban MD high school. In the 3rd debate, Barack commended Michelle Rhee (superintendent) and Mayor Fenty on their dedication to revamping the DC Public Schools, but so what--

Private school all the way.

Somehow, I don't even think this would be a discussion if they weren't a black family.
