You have made the right decision - A700 has tons of manual controls which you don't get in other consumer level camers. The video quality is good at 640x480 and 320x240 resolution. Plus the LCD screen can be rotated which lets shoot self photographs.

I absolutely love this camera.

I see a lot of sites (especially on WP) not making use of the Adsense for Search program - if implemented well, this could bring you good returns. Same holds true for Adlinks.

I think booking conference halls at IHC would be expensive but there are at least two open amphitheatres as well. We had a Delhi Blog Meet few months ago and I don't think they charged us for using their place.

But yes, it's always nice to check beforehand as things may have changed now.
