Stupid Sixers.

Not only did it change the game, but it pretty much changed the season. If not for the Iowa debacle, Penn State was going to play for the national championship because of this!

This just seems so fitting, especially after the recruiting news this week!

What a way to cap off a wonderful season. I stayed up who knows how late watching this game, was up for a couple hours afterward because I was so excited, and worked the next morning at 6am. It wasn't as hard as you expect because the good guys won.

Wait a second though, is it 95 days or 94 days until the first game? A countdown over at BSD says 94 days.

Looks good! A nice 2009 would look terrific. As would a 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020...

How much longer until Penn State follows the trend? Or since they are not a part of the Big Ten philosophically, maybe they put together a BIGGER media guide!

And now Ohio State and Michigan are saying they are going to stop printing media guides all together (though there will be some form of digital media I would guess).

I have to disagree. I kind of like the idea of the uniform for one game. I also liked the blue hats from last year better. I'll be at the game on Monday and probably won't notice te hats from my seat.

First off I am speaking my personal ideal conditions. For me I would prefer for Penn State to be in a Big East with the "traditional" rivals but I would also like one more genuine power to be in the mix (Miami, Va Tech coming back or maybe Notre Dame).

The Independant road would be dismal. Penn State has a poor enough OOC schedule as it is. Imagine a full season of teams like that. Sure, the chances to play Notre Dame would be easier to come by, but they would also be filling up on cream puffs like Navy, Temple, Villanova, Slippery Rock, Shippensburg, and Rowan for most of the year.

Penn State's best fit geographically is in the Big East, although if the conferences were to hold a fantasy draft I would bet the ACC would be interested.

Just my extended thoughts.

Of course those are classy. For me though it would be tough to top this bling!

I was warned about you. I guess we'll have something to discuss this weekend when the Mets come to Philadelphia.

Hopefully this NIT run lays the foundation for where the program is heading. I'm not saying PSU is ever going to be the top dog in the Big Ten, but it would be nice to see them be in the mix every year.

Hilarious! But the question remains, would PSU's strength of schedule still keep them out???

what is it with Curley's poor scheduling? Does he not see the importance of a respectable schedule now?

Let's be honest though. Basketball needs to build a foundation at PSU. Maybe this year was used as the stepping stone? But I suppose we have seen that before too.

Should be a nail biting 24 hours for PSU fans. Hopefully all falls in place for the Nittany Lions. They deserve a trip to the big dance I think.

Have faith! A win for Penn State might be enough to get in, but a victory over Purdue is crucial.

What did we ever do to Iowa to deserve all the troubles they have given us?

A great night for Penn State basketball, and well deserved. Hopefully the basketball program uses this season to build for the future.

I was rooting for the Cardinals, but it is kind of cool having the baseball and football champions in the same state in the same season. When does Rendell get the order in for a new "Welcome to Pennsylvania - home of champions" sign?

If only Penn State had won the national championship...
