I've written for another blog before and plan to do more of it. I am always careful though - I want to make sure I am providing quality content in my own voice .. I never want to make someone's blog look bad

I accept guest posts but I am rather selective. My site is my baby :) and I work very hard to provide a high quality to my readers. I want my site to grow and be known as a resource of sorts. I think people have a lot to offer so I will definitely read an offer.

It helps but I think blogs who have too many guest posts (unless thats the actual point) hurt its readership because there is no consistent voice to count on.

I was just telling a girlfriend of mine that I would go to Paris if I could.. I've wanted to go to Europe for a few years now and most of my friends have gone. My french exists lol although not GREAT
Then I'd visit a military wife friend in Germany.. I would go with the flow - see the sites, really live and make it a point to meet people and get into their stories (I'm always fascinated by the lives of others)

*sigh*

you know ... this is not such a bad idea..

Without the balance, I would truly go mad. I know this for a fact as it has happened many times :)

I think finding clarity within the expecations I have of myself is incredibly important. I have a tendency to always feel rushed and urgent because I put everythin on the same level. But in truth, thats not the case. My peace of mind comes first. Without it, I really can't do anything with the quality I like to produce.

I know how you feel. I've never .. ever been a mac girl. But my laptop is on the fritz too. It's on week 2 of "repair" and I'm still waiting. my heart hurts. I just wanted to chuck that thing out of the window and for the first time cross on over to the dark side myself.
