One year I was so excited to bring home pineapple tarts all the way from Malaysia for me to enjoy. Sadly, it all crumbled during the flight. I had to throw it away - BOO HOO!!!!! :-( Please eat some for me ...

It is so disgusting to say things like that, and then be total cowards and say it was a joke. It was SO NOT a joke I bet. And they should study their religion properly, it doesn't teach intolerance and all that other bad stuff. You are right, why do people distort religion so badly?
I also don't understand why these actions don't warrant any punishment and action taken against them? Isn't this also classed as bringing on racial segregation etc?

Aiyah, the kari mee looks so delicious lah!!! SO-oooooo one of the things I miss about home. The food, glorious food. Nowhere beats Malaysian foodlah! Absolutely no-freaking-where!
Ppl, remember that when you consider moving away from home - the food seems like a minor thing, but it is a BIG adjustment to make.
PS - What IS a Milo Dog? Can you direct me to a picture of it? I am intrigued.

I think we all do the loyalty thing to some extent, no? Wrt to the people who are our friends, we dislike the same people etc. As for your edit, I am sitting here geleng-geleng my kepala. Somehow, some people will turn anything out there into "Me, me, me". Aiyoh, pleaselah right!!!

The last few days have flown - I had time off from the 20th of Dec and it has gone by in a blur. Now there is 45 mins to the New Year and then - and then, 11 weeks till the birth of our baby! OMG - so terrified and excited all at once.

Disgusting lah the whole situation - it just makes me so angry. I read somewhere once - I love my country, but the question is, does my country love me? Probably not if I am told to "balik India" all the time. How can we when we were born in Malaysia? No where else is home is it?

One of the best things in life is to be grateful for the people and things that you have - well done on taking the time to be grateful!

I have only skimmed through it - got the address via a VERY interesting forwarded e-mail I received today which scared me A LOT. What was scary was the Malaysian government behind the scenes. Anyway, catch you later girl!

It was disgusting when I first read about it, and it is even more disgusting now!!! There is absolutely no check and balance in the government and they can do what they like with no one questioning them. Hah!!! And they have the cheek to point fingers at other countries when your own laundry is dirtier than a longkang!!! I feel physically sick - it seems to be getting worse and worse. And you know, if that poor person who took that video owns up, he will probably "conveniently disappear"!!!

Happy Birthday Sweetie! Better late than never I suppose. PS - LOVE the parents' sense of humour - I bet you it will stay in your memory forever and give you many a fuzzy warm feeling whenever you think back to it! =)

Aiyoh, my fragile stomach is cringing at that beautician story ... that is how horrible my nausea and morning (correction, all day) sickness is - even the mention of disgusting things make me want to be sick. If I was sitting there, sure wan I be sick all over that woman! Lots of ugly things in our scary world - I guess it's up to us to make it as beautiful for ourselves as we can huh? Like you said, even anger is a very ugly thing.

PS - We will try harder next time to well and truly learn our lesson with trusting people who should NOT be trusted. You poor girl!!! I recently had a similar problem - very UNPLEASANT la!!!

Su Ann, don't be so hard on yourself. What it is is probably that you yourself would not repeat another person's secrets and so expect the same courtesy from others. As for learning, aiyah, we all repeat the same mistakes sometimes. I have the same issue - I never learn after being burnt badly - still open my mouth when I shouldn't tell people who will repeat things to others. Once bitten twice shy does not always apply, eh? We've all been there, girl!

Hi Su Ann, it's me again. I found a pic of Dr Shamsul! Remember him now - short-ish bloke - had him as one of three lecturers sharing a course. Phew - that would have bugged me!

I'm trying to place Dr Shamsul - I am so sure he was one of my lecturers at UKM! Unfortunately, I cannot find a pic of him to jog my memory. Uni seems like it was so-oooo many years ago - yeah, 10 years next April.
It's really encouraging to hear that youngsters are making an effort to ask questions and familiarise themselves with the systems etc of the country (aiyah, make me sound so old!!!). It would be so nice to see a Malaysia of equal rights and no discrimination. It would be great if Utopia did become a reality. Or am I being to idealistic??!! Malaysia is a wonderful beautiful place to live - except for the damn discrimination. I miss it more than I can say.
