Assuming 65% attention is given, i guess the backchannels merely provide the listeners a good option for their remaining 35% of attention. =D

Hmm...I dislike the idea of moderation. I think one essence of Onelinr is that it provides an unguarded pathway for airing of views and comments.

How about this? Create two categories, moderated and unmoderated. People can choose between these two options and then accordingly add the number of moderators they want and set the 'moderation level' to the level they're comfortable with. As opposed to hiring moderators across the board. For instance, event A can have tight moderation but B has a slightly slack one (determined by organisers). Event C can have no moderation whatsoever.

Give the power to the people!

Re: Post-Hej! I see a fundamental difference. it depends, if you want to give moderation to select few or to all.

If you want to have a selected person(s), then they could have the extra option of an "X" button next to posts.

If you want to give it to the masses, the users could digg it. But issue would be how many diggs mean ultimate deletion? Who decides this? What's the cut off point?

Unless, you have a "flag (or flagg =P) if inappropriate" button. The moderators can then decide if the post is deemed inappropriate.

Re: Post-Hej! Meaning users shouldn't be forced to take any extra step (page pops up, additional mouse movements to other parts of the screen, new sentences to type etc). It all should go with the flow with minimal disturbances to hand or mouse movements.

That mark as inappropriate button could come at the end of the sentence as opposed to a fix spot at the right or left hand side of the screen, for instance, so it minimizes hand movements and increases the user's flow with the postings.. ;)

Re: Post-Hej! I like the fact that you're pretty transparent and open with whatever you're doing. I too strive to be as transparent as possible to everyone but just curious to know where do you draw the line?

Re: “Scoble’s silly,” Facebooker says

Well said Robert, well said. ;)

Re: Another Twitter competitor — want an invite?

I agree to all of the above.

Re: iPhone stops people

one of the best marketing campaigns ever. ever.

Re: Getting photos from iPhone to Flickr

Can't believe you're still talking about the iPhone Robert. I was watching the video when I posted the comment above. I was 35mins in and now I have to watch it all over again. Robert, can you have it such that if the video is already loaded, you can load it again countless number of times within the same period or usage etc?

That would be good.

Re: My Jaiku interview getting praise

thanks. a youtube style loading of videos would be good. because if you refresh the page, the video buffer would have left off from where it began as opposed to starting again from scratch.

Re: Thomas Hawk, watch out…

congrats robert!

Re: TechCrunch 40 winner: Mint

good going mint! woohooo!

Re: Dawn takes on TechCrunch

Robert, I have organised conferences too and I am a student. USD 2000 ones...way smaller than a D: All things D or a T40, but hey, I had sleepless nights before the event as well. It's not about the sleepless nights Robert, it's about how much thought and attention to detail. Sleepless nights mean jacksh## if some of my delegates or participants had no place to sit during the conference etc etc. I am all in favour of DD here.

Re: In Conversation with Vinod Nair, HomeSpace.sg

$%^$ it.
