I completely understand! I actually am having a similar (but of course different) problem with my HTB. He hasn't figured out gifts yet, and it seems he would rather not ask another groomsman to even out the wedding party because he doesn't know if he can afford the gifts.

I am totally OCD so composition is important to me in everyday life - pictures, candles, vases, you name it - so with wedding stuff it does, too. But *alas* I have hit a compositional brick wall :)

I can sympathize with the emotional support going miles and miles. My lifelong best friend is way up north, and it seems like everyone is super busy. Not that she could solve the problem, but wishing she was here all of the time. I am lucky that another best friend is in town, but she is super busy too :) We'll make it, after all there is a whole week for a honeymoon destress, and a whole life time with wedding madness behind us and love ahead of us.

Off topic, but what a cool job to cover the court beat! That sounds like such a neat gig :)

It is interesting that often times bloggers are denied press credientials, but are still able to break news (Re: Huffington Post and Obama's comments).

On a side note: Readers find blogs appealling because they offer a personal view of events and the writers bias is openly admitted and accepted by the reader, I wonder if that is the source of the snobbery? People don't want you to have an opinion and press credientials... but, as we all hear in our beginning j-classes it is impossible to be unbiased because your subconcious mind only registers events/actions/words that appeal to your biases. Just my 2-cents.

Yeah for green ladies! You should all make jackets like the Pink Ladies in Grease :)

I am going to out myself right now - I am engaged to a man who actually bagged up his *free* recycling bin in a trash bag and put it out on trash pick up day... but I did buy that cute canvas sack from Whole Foods, and I am completely obsessed with thermal coffee mugs. For my part that reduces styro-foam waste - which by the way makes the most awful noise when rubbed against anything - but I still don't think that makes up for the recycling bin...

When I was 9 I left my purse at the library... someone mailed it back to me about 5 years later, no kidding. I laughed as I pulled everything out, thinking, why did I think I needed to carry this stuff around... there was actually a McDonald's toy in the purse :)

According to Hollywood Reporter even the creator agrees this was a bad idea. I don't agree that this show will have a life on cable, cable series tend to have intriguing substance.

By the way, I stopped by Bigbucks yesterday to try their new an improved barrista method, and much to my chagrin, they promptly raised their prices after their reopening their doors. Thinking adding wi-fi and "improving their methods" were thinly veiled attempt to justify a huge price jump, my mocha tasted like every other mocha I have had before and there was not a sinlge person inside taking avdantage of the company's late in the game jump onto the free wi-fi bandwagon.

Courtney, that sounds beautiful! Black and White is a great idea, less worry for everyone. Can I recommend SqWires in Lafayette Square for the reception? The owner is Bethany Budde and she is awesome, plus resonably priced. If you have a group less than 150 it is an awesome and unqiue space. Everyone we have mentioned it too is really excited about it, plus the park is right there for pictures.

Breakfast at Tiffanys is a favorite movie of mine, three. I hope you get the book and let me know how it was! Merry Christmas :)
