in Is Your Ego The Perfect Size To Be a Great Leader? on Instigator Blog
I do agree that u need a healthy ego, if you have no belief in you ideas or your ability your gonna get crushed very easily. On the other hand being a jackass is not gonna get u that far either.

I cant agree more Ben, and I would never think of doing anything other than being an entrepreneur and creating companies.
I also agree with andrews comments in that I once a company or "project" as i call them reaches a certain level and you begin to move more into a management role then it is definately time to move on.

Great post mate. I dislike the current education system because it basically teaches you how to pass exams and to regurgitate information but does very little to inspire, challenge and make young minds think.

in What Don’t You Need To Start A Business? on Instigator Blog
Totally agree ted. Noones saying go into things gunho but also if your afraid to risk and your waiting for the perfect moment, it wont come. Worse case scenario, if you have minimised the risk initially is that you fail. Fine, learn from the mistake and move on.
Ben - I would say the best possible startup team is 5. Same priniciple for sides but it also allows you to cover maximum bases without being oversized. With three i think you are still limited. My personal opinion anyway, of course differnt things work for differnt people.

in A Day of Inspiration, Motivation and Learning at The Power Within on Instigator Blog
I completely agree that everyone should get money smart, its very important but I would also note that the "glamorous life of a young entrepreneur", especially a first time one generally involves being skint, in fact i would go so far as to say its a prerequisite for the job, lol. However with this it then becomes of vital importance to micromanage your finances as literally every pound counts which is a great learning experience to have.
For further observations of "the glamorous life of an entrepreneur" check out nurtur.co.uk/naked where I will post the completed blog sometime today.
Ben: Have taken your advice and have redesigned the layout of my blog. Still far from complete but on the way. Check it out and cheers again mate.

in Does Multitasking Really Make You More Productive? on Instigator Blog
Multitasking not productive, thats unfortunate as I always thought I was being very productive managing to watch tv, eat, scratch myself, read the paper and hold a conversation all at once… great timesaver.
To add to one of your points ben, I use a system ive coined "key 6". Using a small "key 6" notepad that I can keep on me at all times every morning I write down the key 6 things I need to get accomplished that day. It gets the mind focussed. Just like filling up a bucket with big rocks first, then little ones, then sand, if you ensure you get the key 6 task completed you be suprised how many other things fall into place around it. I cross off each task once it is complete, its a pyscological boost to physically cross something off and at the end of the day I have a review to make sure I have completed all the key tasks and any others that have been done around them.

An observant, focused, social and strategic saleperson. Now there is a successful individual in any area of life. Nice one Ben.
Being new to the whole blogging game I find resisting the urge to write a new blog every 5 minutes is always a challenge.
I'm sure this will change when the novelty wears off...hopefully.

in 6 Steps To Getting Back Into The Blog Saddle on Instigator Blog
Im an entrepreneur like yourself and have just launched my first ever blog, Naked Business, which is basically taking a first hand look at building a company from scratch following myself and my business partner.
Business books are great and necessary and there is alot of them out there...a lot, but we wanted to get people involved in a real journey that hasn't been predetermined yet with real time lessons and risks.
Anyway the blogs up and running but with basically no one knowing about it. How on earth did you get to the top of "blogtopsites" in just 6 months.
Appreciate your interest btw.

Ive just started a new blog (Naked Business) and am slightly overwhelm with how much there is to do with getting it popular. After reading this, its hit home that I'm gonna have to spend some time creating a strategy instead of just going and "doing"
