in Poll results: Which Linux distro is best for netbooks on Liliputing
If the Eee PC can enjoy success after its many delays to market and a large price hike from what Asus originally announced, then I'm sure the Wind can still enjoy similar success.if it comes to market late - as long as its price remains unchanged.

in Acer announces the Aspire One subnotebook on Liliputing
This One (get it? :-) ) is looking like a damn good deal to me.
According to Electronista (http://www.electronista.com/articles/08/06/03/a...) the base model has 8GB SSD, but here's the cool bit, "as well as a five-in-one card reader. A unique twist is a second SD slot that can be used for expanding the computer's permanent storage: a file manager app can automatically merge any SD card put into the slot with the built-in memory, giving owners of at least the 8GB Aspire one an upgrade path."
So, although it has less space than the Eee PC901 to start with, the Aspire One can be easily upgraded and still have a free card reader for dropping in the SD card from your camera. Brilliant! And it might even allow it to boot from more than one OS.

in MSI Wind 8.9 inch model makes guest appearance at Computex on Liliputing
I'm with you Brad. Surprised and disappointed that the 8.9" model is not physically smaller.
I would say you're correct in your assumption that this decision is the cheapest option for MSI and that maybe the 8.9" will only be available in countries where the 10" is not available.

in MSI Wind to pack a 10 inch display and a $399 price tag on Liliputing
I also hope they include Bluetooth as an option on the Linux version. Although by the time you add that and the bigger battery you could be at the same price as the Windows model. And then it's just a matter of formatting the drive and installing whatever flavour of Linux that takes you fancy. Still it would be nice to have all the features on the SUSE model and therefore fully supported by MSI.
