(When not asking about the size of their bum.)

Seriously though, look for the perfection in the one you're with and imperfections can be appreciated as Wabi; like the imperfections in a Buddhist Monk's art.

Re: Google Betrays Mozilla By Releasing Its Own Browser: Google Chrome

The timing is no surprise either considering that Google removed the referrals element from AdSense at the end of August 2008 where Firefox was the key component.

Re: Happy Japanese April Fool’s Day!

I wonder how many people like me signed up to elance thinking they could outsource a hit blog at $35 per post. Still, I'm not submitting this one to Digg, just in case!

Re: Why the New Digg Sucks

Point 2 is annoying but it's #3 that's driving me mad, I used to open up a bunch of articles in tabs, read them, then digg the goodies all on one page, in one deft movement. Now I have to follow the links to the digg page. I've read less and dugg less today when really a nice new interface should make me want to explore the site more.

The cynic in me says it's just a way of upping the page view count so they get more impressions and perhaps more ad clicks. Anyone that has spent more than ten minutes thinking about usability would always try and reduce the amount of clicks. They've visited one too many "10 best" lists that are 10 separate pages and become immune to it.

I'm still far to much of a facebook virgin to comment on that GUI but for what digg have just done I think SU does it slightly better. with SUs new interface I get recently commented on stories from my friends in "what's new" and can quickly view the original story or view the friends page.

My normal start page is http://digg.com/users/liamvictor/friends/submis...
now I can't see if I've dugg a page before, like you I miss the description and I can't see what's gone popular.

One step forward and two giant leaps back.

Re: The Attention Economy: Is it Too Much?

Some of the recent changes to digg and the proliferation of often pointless social / web 2.0 features feels a lot like web developers flexing intellectual muscles - adding features to boost their CVs rather than elements that will actually benefit the end user's experience. After all does every other site need a tag cloud, user profiles, messaging or a threaded commenting system?

Re: Reader Poll: Best Blog Analytics Software

For blogging, I would suggest having a good look at 103bees - http://103bees.com/

It's main use (for me) is long tail, but it has a number of interesting ways of viewing your data.
