in Ending Diagonal Leading Diagonal and Wedge Definitions SP500 on Afraid to Trade Blog
I tried reading that book casually, however I quickly learned that it was a book that needed to be studied. Unfortunatelly I had to return it to my college whom I borrowed it from before getting a full dose. Will have to put that back on my req. reading list! Along with Dr. Steenbarger's The Daily Trading Coach, and Trading in the Zone, have a lot of reading to do now that I think about it...

Keep up the great work Corey, certainly one the best trading blogs out there.

Quote: "Go piss off beast of clerkenwell.
Soldiers know the risk when they join up - it is the duty of govt to order troops into action."

ONLY if the war is in a just cause.

If you have to lie to justify the war, then the war is NOT JUST!

Servicemen's lives have been sacrificed for a series of blatant and deliberate lies.

Lies which the Tories SHOULD have seen through, but they have the convenient cover of knowing that the Labour Cabinet was lied to by Blair as well. It was NOT poor or faulty intelligence, it was deliberately falsified intelligence by people in the whitehouse Iraq Group. The Office of Special Plans, Rockingham and elsewhere. These were offices set-up by the Administrations on the UK and the USA and others to specifically create a case FOR invasion. They were NOT established to discover the truth, but to examine the intelligence and using that, build a case for war using whatever information they could get away with and suppress all caveats and counter-arguments. These were political offices external to the national intelligence frameworks of the nations involved, but they had access at the very highest level to the intelligence staff, with the backing of the President, Vice President and defence secretary of the USA and the Prime Minister of the UK, these people made their wishes and goals known to the intelligence chiefs very forcefully. In the UK the head of the JIC was promoted for his complicity in massaging intelligence to fit the case for war.

The MI6 and CIA grunts on the ground and the other international experts in the field were routinely questioning the false claims that came out of these external political offices. EVERY major claim of WMD was debunked.

Our troops were sacrificed for a series of lies.

My deepest and sincerest condolences are with the Cameron Family

My sincere comisserations to the Camerons at this unbearably sad time for them.

I have just been angered to hear Nick "Toenails" Robinson say on the BBC that Cameron can't expect any electoral advantage from this tragic event "as Gordon Brown has already lost a child of his own".

How much lower in his propagandising for Labour can Robinson sink?

Hain says we "should fear the BNP".

It's Labour that's shitting themselves about the BNP because they are taking thousands of their votes away from them.

At the fag end of this appalling government we get Labour and the BNP fighting each other over the chav vote and the BNP seem to be winning judging by their victory over Labour in that Kent by-election last week.

Labour are dead ducks and are running scared led by a mentally ill lunatic of a prime minister.

The country can't afford another 16 months of this bankrupt shower and their demented leader.

in Husband of the year awards on That was funny
What the heck? The polish wife (or accourding to the swede the finland wife) is carrying a huge thing of beer and the husband is carrying nothing but the first place (ireland) wife is carrying a much smaller thing of beer and her husband is even helping out! I have to agree with swedy over there and i say that poland (or finland) should have won this hands down.

You would have to times the distance by the other planetoids gravitational forces. Keep in mind that they were in suits that are indeed hard to move in let alone swing something for a good hit.

But I say, pretty fair.

in He who fears being conquered… on Gibtown Runner
Hi, my name is Coach Kip and I'm a Bandit. There I said it. Check out the article Chris has attached to this portion of the blog. Based on the comments of the readers of that article I should consider going into a B.P.P. - Bandit Protection Program. Pond-scum, cheap basta^d? Some pretty harsh words coming from a group of folks who are usually pretty laid back...but rightfully so. I totally agree with them! Although entry fees for races have gone up ($20 for a 5k?), so have the costs associated with a race. If one thinks the cost of a race is too expensive...then don't enter, but if you choose to run the race, pay the price. You'll feel much better about yourself and you won't have to wonder if the people pointing at you after the race are doing it because they think you're pondscum or because you have boogers hanging from your nose...I know, gross, but true. Thanks for the intervention Chris. Have a great weekend. Keep running people!

I have bought 4 cars from Saturn of warwick. There has never been an issue. Any time we needed service they got is in right away. Today, the altenator went they took us right in no questions asked. The also gave me a nice loaner car. I have sent many of my friends to that dealership no complaints. People need to watch out for themselves. Read the paper work, and stick to what you want to pay.

in The Importance of Hope (or, Barack Obama on Entrepreneurship) on Disruptive Thoughts
Had to check the website ... an interesting and spirited discussion happening on Disruptive Thoughts? Who woulda thunk it. :) @McLarty Actually I am a Wunderloo alumni (waaaay back 2 decades ago) and I do follow the great things that are happening there (my retirement account thanks you RIM!). I think that it is in part the support that Communitech provides that enables / attracts entrepreneurs in the area. Prior successes facilitate future successes. It is the reason that the group I work with are committed to nurturing innovated ideas in our region. We feel it will lead to a stronger, more fertile breeding ground for additional new ideas. This area could be a recognized "team" in the "big leagues" @Fraser I'd offer that entrepreneurial spirit is taking an idea and growing it to say $20M revenue, not the process of scaling it beyond. Being bought should be an entrepreneur's goal... a large company is likely to crush that spirit.

in The Importance of Hope (or, Barack Obama on Entrepreneurship) on Disruptive Thoughts
@ Interested Observ... I think when Fraser asks "how could the US put it's failth" he's asking a forward looking question akin to "why would they elect him on that platform?". He's clearly not stating that the entire US population supports him... an impossibility in a democratic society. It gets off the point, but your statement that "...only a quarter of the US is putting its faith in Senator Obama.." is rather misleading given that those numbers would jump to 50% (for arguments sake) if Clinton drops out of the race. That being said, I'm not convinced either as to the validity of the rest of Fraser's comments. I don't see the applicability of the Stockdale Paradox, which speaks of holding tight to the inevitability of success in the face of overwhelming obstacles, to the size of an entrepreneur's dream. The line he’s tried to draw between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs feels artificial. I'm still partial to the Majors / Minors analogy. It can be “chicken and egg”, but which came first is now moot. The US has achieved a critical mass of entrepreneurs, which attracts further funding, which attracts entrepreneurs (internationally) and enables entrepreneurs (domestically), etc.
