in God Told Bush To Fight This War | The Cosmic Tap on The Cosmic Tap
Bush is scheduled to have a colonoscopy this weekend, hopefully they won't have too much trouble removing his head

in But what do the pilots think? | The Cosmic Tap on The Cosmic Tap
I experienced the new level of security at Logan airport first hand yesterday. First, I forgot I had a bottle of water at bottom of my carry on, I drink water so that's pretty suspicious, so they had to examine my bag. When they came across two lip glosses well those had to be âdestroyed,â and when I asked the security "agent" if I could look at the gloss so I could remember the color (Iâm serious, its hard to find the right color for my skin tone), he said I couldn't touch them once it had been recovered. I wanted to ask, âhow about if I apply it for you sir, so you know it wonât detonate and its simply to make me look pretty?â Security should know the only thing hazardous about lip gloss, is sporting the wrong color.

It always amazed me how you can see the good in every situation in life and make others do the same. You embrace who you are and recognize the path that got you here. We're all lucky you turned out the way you did. Congratulations on taking this step and sharing your path with others.

Bush will never care about approval rating because instead of looking for approval from American citizens, he believes he only needs approval from God. Sounds awfully similar, ey?

Let's get back to blaming who's really at fault for everything--the big guy: God. Oh no wait, or is he going to get us through this? Shit, I'm confused.

in Santa Sadness | The Cosmic Tap on The Cosmic Tap
This debate hits on a personal note for me, as I revealed to my younger brother that Santa Claus is not real. This tore me up for years because my mother was very upset with me and I think still is. My mother would do anything to make us believe from fantastical stories, to âmagic dustâ being sprinkled around the house. I love her for that and she is a big reason why I have an excited imagination as an adult.
My brother was around the age of 7, I being 5 years older was emotionally torn as he sought only the truth which he knew I possessed. When he turned to me for an answer at first I tried to confirm his wavering âbelief,â so he then asked me to instead explain how Santa really knows what we want for Christmas? How can Santa possibly fly and fit through a chimney? And why do the notes he leaves looks like Momâs handwriting?âAll reasonable questions.
I told my brother the truth because I thought, and still do, that it was better coming from me, someone who truly cared about his imagination, than some schoolmate who thinks he so much smart than my brother. I wasnât aware of the historical explanation, but I talked about the spirit and magic of Christmas and how giving to others can make us just as happy as receiving.
This year at Christmas, 15 years later my mother again brought up the fact that I ruined it for my brother. I simply responded with a smile and ââwell Mom you taught me not to lie.â
This is one of those situations if life, like so many, where itâs difficult to determine right from wrong. I can see both perspectives, but I think the teacher should have stayed out of it and left the job to the truthful big sisters.
Please note that in my Manhattan apartment in a neighborhood where you see very few children, I have a decoration up that states âWe Still Believe in Santa,â and part of me still does. Thanks Mom.
