Those are some really good points. Especially about the "pay to play" part. When I used to have more time and be more into the webdesign world of the early 2000s I used to get tons of IMs and emails from people asking me for help. It's like they expected me to not have a life of my own and respond to their every request immediately and for free. That's tough. I like the note about people's preferred communication. You're right though, if people are not as into email as they are phone calls, you'll have to wait quite a while to get a response. I also like your note there about people not asking for a reply. That's one thing they teach us at work in our email workshops is to create actions for people so they know what to do with your message.

Enjoy your time off. Good luck making the decision, it is a difficult one. My rule of thumb is never accept a pay cut.

That's confusing, how does it need you to eat more calories than you are in order to LOSE weight? Back when I was actually careful about what I ate to lose weight I had to eat less than 1500 calories a day (according to the meal plan given to me at my gym), and when I managed to keep that up, I did lose weight. So eating more can't help you lose weight, can it? Especially what you're eating, if you eat healthy food and all, you should be better off than just trying to eat fatty calorie-full foods just to reach that weird number of calories they claim you need to eat.

That sucks that your internet might get turned off. I hope you can manage to keep the bill paid. That's a great idea, starting with cutting out soda, that helps a lot of people lose weight. Good luck on your plans and goals.

Amen to that. I can't stand holiday music cause it gets old after a few days, and when they play it for the full month of December it just makes you go uhh enough.

*HUGS* It's so hard to lose a loved one, especially someone so near and dear like the people who raised you who were closer to you than anyone else. But like the others, with time the pain will ease and just the great memories will remain.

Dog tags are a fun thing sometimes but to wear them is annoying cause they make so much noise.

DVR is the best invention. It's just impossible to watch good shows unless you're a stay-at-home person. So when they are recorded and you can come home and enjoy the shows you missed, it's just great great great :)

Eyeliner is trouble. I can never use liquid, but the other kind is easier. Those magnifying mirrors are a good idea, however, looking at yourself in such detail is quit depressing let me tell you. All those imperfections magnified like that. Wowza.

Really? See I don't like that at all, you should buy the house and the land that's on it. That kinda makes it like the government can still take your house if they want it cause they own the land. That's awful. You're right about the good ole days, it would be nice to actually own real property.

Finally, I haven't been able to load your website for the past week heh. Wow, snow, how interesting. Well I suppose it is December. And it even snows in some areas in Texas, just not where I am so snow is still surprising to me to hear about haha. Hey, it's your blog, you should be able to post all your opinions. They may have not meant it to be anti-American but people are so sensitive about things like that these days with all the terrorist activity, so I can understand why the media reacted that way.
