I didn't watch the game today...burned out on IU hoops right now. I'm not down on the players, instead I'm down on Greenspan appointing Double D as coach when he knew the players didn't want him and fucking the season up even more after letting KS resign. Heading down to spring training on Thursday and won't even think about the big ten tourney.

In regards to Grant, Greenspan would never hire another african american to be IU's hoops coach. I personally would love Grant to be our coach, but Greenspan would try to appease the most vocal section of our fanbase (you know what I'm talking about). I mean look how he passed over Ray for Double D so he wouldn't get more heat...and if you need more proof, look who's in last place in the poll on this site!

I honestly don't think our coach is out there right now. I think this is a bad time to be going through this situation. We can't make a bad choice rule wise, so I think they will stay away from calapari and pearl. We will end up with Miller or Bennett and I honestly think they will be 3 or 4 and don.e

you're right timmy. in fact, if KS was on the sidelines, IU would've shot 81% in the first half and scored 60 points, and led by one going into the locker room. I just know it.

We've definitely lacked intensity since Coach Sampson resigned. Double D was in an admin role for a reason.
I don't see uk fans conjuring up the name Adolph Rupp or ucla fans throwing Wooden disciples at us so why IU fans keep bringing up knight to embarrass us is beyond me.

You're off in a few ways here about UK and UCLA. First, Rupp and Wooden have been retired for over 30 years. Second, each retired, rather than being dismissed. So Wooden and Rupp each decided that his career was over at the school, rather than leaving a lingering distaste with the ending. Third, both Kentucky (with trying to bring back Billy Donovan) and UCLA (with Ben Howland) either tried to or did bring in a coach with previous ties to the school with their most recent hire, although neither was a disciple of their long-retired coaching greats.
All that said, having an IU connection is important to me only in breaking ties between otherwise equally qualified candidates. I wish people would quit bringing up Knight, too. It only makes it tougher for this team and the new coach going forward.

I feel so bad for DJ. First he had to watch Coach Davis get run off and now this. He must hate the words Indiana Hoosiers. I'm pretty disgusted with IU as well. Greenspan has to go for letting this situation get out of control not to mention the Lady hoops purdue coaching fiasco, the football program going back intot he crapper and the decline of men's soccer.

In respect though he had nothing to do with the football end of things, it was going up. But hopefully McRobbie sees how crazy this is getting and it adds to the laundry list of reasons Greenspawn should be fired.

I agree Timmy. In the long run we want these kids to be part something special every year, and I believe we failed them. I'll never be able to forget how badly we treated them.
