in I’m Done With University of Phoenix on danielmiessler.com | grep understanding
that's similar to my feelings on my situation. i'm beginning my career in CS at a technical college (SGTC) instead of university (GSW). my reason deals more so with my desire to leave this area all together than the school or anything. my hope is to pull a couple certifications (A at least) out of SGTC. the "trashy" feel isn't mutual, however I do know that this is only a starting point. any professionals out there with advice on degrees vs. certifications, IT vs CS, or anything useful...please contact me; stbrenner at gmail dot com

in Ron Paul’s Views On Race Will Be His Downfall on dmiessler.com | grep understanding
How many times do you people have to be told? Those remarks were NOT WRITTEN BY RON PAUL. They appeared in ONE article written by an aid. Ron Paul had never written anything like that before or since, and that aid was fired.
And, if Ron Paul was a racist, why would Walter Williams be his first choice as a running mate????
Walter Williams:

in My Letter Regarding The National ID Program on danielmiessler.com | grep understanding
very inspiring post. i'll admit that i played the "i don't care about this stupid country" card for a couple of years. my logic was the result of frustrations with the way i saw our country's leaders sidelining the REAL problems of our time with attention grabbing media created "problems". sustainability has taken a backseat to the D.C. Madam's horny client list. 2008 is the first presidential election I'm old enough to vote in and I plan on making my vote count.

I don't necessarily disagree with you about Vista being a joke, I've read plenty of documentation similar to this post. However I really disagree about Apple's being dominate in the future.
I've been told for some time that Apple's are not practical and that they're a marketing scheme. However it took me owning one (or two) to actually realize this. As far as being something that average person can operate/troubleshoot...I just don't see it.
I do, however, thoroughly agree with you about Leopard going to much better than Vista. OS X is a solid operating system, no one can deny that.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that, in my humble opinion, OS X not being able to run on x86 architectures (legally) will hold it back from being more successful than Windows in the long run.
I do have to admit, though, that I'm not as knowledgable about universal binaries as I'd like to be and that with Apple's switch from PowerPC to Intel processors, I really don't know what's to come...just my thoughts.
