The "something" you mentioned above is now public at http://Lnk.gd
Check it out and offer up any suggestions while I'm still developing from the ground up.

in Get Real People. Social Media = BE SOCIAL. - Sacrilicious Marketing on Sacrilicious Marketing
I watched the video. Now we're BFFs, right? I love the new marketing mentality of some people. The best is when I get followed on Twitter by 7 dummy accounts that all have mostly the same name in the same hour like idiotheadmedia1, idiotheadmedia2, idiotheadmedia3, etc.

in Is It Ok To Tell Your Customer To F#%* Off? on Jim Kukral
I couldn't agree more. I've had to fire clients before, but I would never do so in a manner unbecoming of a professional. Even if you don't care what that client thinks, you should always be aware of how you appear in general. Ask yourself how you'd feel if your best client heard you firing your worst client. Would they still respect you?
The scenario you described above, might be a bit unique, but it proves my point. Now, many season ticket holders (well-paying loyal customers) have been exposed to the unprofessional response and I'm sure at least one or two will cease to be customers, even if the email's recipient was begging to be told to F off.

E&E thing? I have no idea what you're talking about :(

It's for corporate bloggers. Good if you run a larger company and want to use blogging for branding and message consistency.

Hrm... even odder than I thought. It looks like I DID get "web" and "technology", but it threw me that message by mistake. Looks like I found a bug.

in Dear RSS Subscriber, Should We Really Care About You? on John Cow dot COM
I'm here by way of Google Reader if that tells you anything. Honestly, I stop by sometimes when I just happen to think about it, but I'm following so many blogs that my Google Reader is my gateway to most of the content I read online these days. In short, yes... you should care about your RSS subscriber numbers, IMO.

in Bryan Fleming - Blog Spam Whore Extraordinaire on John Cow dot COM
I think that jackass actually got me with the first one, but then I saw several more across my 3 blogs. What amazes me is that he was creative enough to think this up, but didn't use that creativity to come up with something productive. If all the ingenious spam tricks were applied to productive sites, the world (wide web) would be a much better place.

Usman Money: If you do one, come back and let us know how it went.
Affiliate Confession: I was trying to remember how I found your site, so I headed over and I've already found 2 more articles I want to read later. I guess that's was RSS feeds are for.

Simon: A little creativity CAN go far. It doesn't take much to rise above the norm and do something different. Great example, too.

in What’s Your Online Reputation Worth? on John Cow dot COM
@PinoyTech: The best advice I think I could give for anyone's first contest (other than the obvious "don't scam") is that you should check out other contests, plan, and then run your plan by someone who's done it to make sure you've thought about everything. My first contest turned out to be a horrible failure because I did some pretty dumb stuff in the beginning like making it really uninviting to enter, etc. So just fine tune all the details ahead of time and get someone who's done it to tell you it's ready before launching.

in What’s Your Online Reputation Worth? on John Cow dot COM
For my first contest, I didn't have a budget, but wanted to promise something cool, so I gave away my own Motorola Q phone. It wasn't new, but it was a nice prize and I disclosed that it was used. Since then, I've been giving away money. Just yesterday, I drew a winner for my MyBlogLog contest and I paid the $100 prize within a few hours. There's no reason to delay when it comes to contest prizes. Especially now, when there's scammers and con artists putting everyone on the defense. Have your prizes ready to go.

Damn straight. I'm betting half the critics don't see anything exciting in their own mirrors.

We have a pretty long waiting list for sign-ups from the website, but I'm working today on getting ya'll some invites for this site.
