in Ep. 397: Proud Pistons on The Basketball Jones
Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Van Gundy called the Lakers-Suns game. Tirico Suave and Hubie did the Pistons-Celtics.

in Ep. 352: Poppin' Collars on The Basketball Jones
This one's for JD: the opening visual says "Episode 351: December 2, 2008", which unless I'm Marty McFly, was yesterday.

in How a Tweet Lead to a Phone Call From Shaq on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
"It’s “led”, not “lead”. Spelled your way is a metal."

Mac B Led - Lead -- Tomato - To-mah-to...I thought it was a hip nod to Ebonics.

in Personal note: A job change for yours truly on Mathew's comments
Congrats Mat, all the best in your new role. I'll be looking forward to seeing further examples of social media put into action at the G&M in the future, and using these examples to show colleagues the shift taking place in Canada's media landscape. I can't think of a better person to take the lead on this. Best of luck!

Video of Thirsty Thursday would be amazing. We're going out tomorrow for an unofficial night out with Victoria's own Michael Allison. Details to come!

Congrats Zoe! I can't wait to see you show off your mad skills - perhaps tonight at Third Tuesday? Hope to see you there!

in We Do Different Things on Chris Brogan
Totally true, Chris! You all write about the web, but it's far more complex than that. A newspaper would probably lump the bunch of you together as "tech".

in Your competition: The press release on Mathew's comments
Good call, Mat.

At this point, what's the difference between a company breaking their news on their blog vs putting it out as a release on the wire? The lines are a blurrin'.

in Baseball blogging ban: dumb, dumb, dumb on Mathew's comments
The NCAA are unbelievably backwards in many respects, and this is one of them. This is one rule that needs to be abolished- once that's done, I have about a thousand other suggestions...

in Twitter takes over on crayon, a new marketing company
Ah, Twitter. It's got a lot of people talking, but not saying very much in the process. I hate to sound cynical, but seriously, what can a person say in 140 characters? Not much. Information can be relayed, but not much can be said.

in Can Sony get anything right? on Mathew's comments
I'm already skeptical of anyone who wants to get in on the "virtual worlds" game right now.

But Sony? Shouldn't they fix the problems with current products in this world before they create a second one for their products to be mediocre in?
