in Why Apple will get my money on Island in the Net
I am excited about the Time Capsule too. I don't even have cable at home, so I concur as well with the iTunes model or the use of Joost as means of getting what I care about without forking a ton of money on cable.

Carlos:
Did you get yourself the iPhone or you were just testing it? I gave it a try a couple of days ago too and was AMAZED too! Did you see the "review" Stephen Colbert did? Check it out.

On the topic, will Google ever stop surprising us??? :S

in Vancouver — something in the water? on Mathew's comments
I agree, Matt. Vancouver seems to be a place where brilliance comes in tap water.

Have you heard about Kinzin? A Social Network for Families created by the folks at Uniserve, out of Vancouver:

I fully agree with the comment on the book. Here are my two cents about it:

I admit I am not a fan of Cuban, but it's interesting that he embraced wikis as a means to grow the Maverick fan base.

in A couple of thoughtful and in-depth reviews of Wikinomics on Wikinomics
I am almost done reading the book and loving it. As a technologist and avid Amazon reviewer (#80), I will most definitely be reviewing it shortly.

In a post about The World Is Flat, I recommended to people who wanted to technology/economics focus to skip that book and pick this one up. I've found it to be much more focused on these topics than Freedman's work.

in Can shopping work with social networks? on Mathew's comments
First off, thanks for sharing the info on MeCommerce. Seems like a very interesting concept, one that I feel now tempted to play with on my blog.

As for Social Networks and shopping, here's my two cents. I think Amazon has "not-so-quietly" been moving in to become a player to be reckoned with in the world of Social Networking and Shopping... they are missing on a handful of building blocks, but they are not far from it, in my opinion.

This was funny. BTW, thanks for your visit to my blog and for your link. I take it that you are also here in Orlando. Are you diabetic or family of a diabetic?

WOA. I am pretty impressed with your site, man! I liked this initiative you talk about here. I think Danilo had talked to me about it before.

Thanks for coming to my blogging workshop today. Hope it helped!

BTW, I linked to you from my blogroll. ;)

A coworker sent me the image today. I was blown away! Incredible perspective from the air: talk about looking at things from a different perspective.
