This may come in handy, I'm always burning DVDs from my local video store because the prices of DVDs friggen suck, they're so overpriced it makes my blood boil and the pee leak out onto my crotch and leave a wet patch.

It's a shame this happened. I was a fan earlier on of the HD-DVD format which I believe to be the fare and better format. Blu-Ray is far too over priced, and definitely overrated. It may have a cooler sounding name but it's definitely not the peoples champ.

Windows Vista makes me angry, but I'm using it right now. I'm riding out things until Service Pack 1 which I am hoping will increase the speed of things substantially. Also heard through the grpaevine that Microsoft are planning on releasing a Performance Patch sometime soon as well, to address all speed issues in Windows Vista.

Windows Vista is an engineering horror, it's really no different to me than XP, other than a few UI enhancements anyway. I have yet to see the real potential of Vista yet.

I also have Xubuntu installed on my machine, which I occasionally use.

Back in high school they blocked messenger and all those types of services. But we found a way around it being in the tech class and all. You could simply use a translation service to translate the website from french to english. The site didn't need to be in french. So it was translating from english to english and it always worked for us.

in my opinion, what you described could also be defined as Web 2.1 moreso than 3.0. It took how long for Web 2.0 to be coined and put to use again?

See my point it took years and years to evolve to Web 2.0 status what makes people think that all of a sudden just because everyone starts adapting a trend that it can be coined as Web 3.0 already?

Web 2.0 has only just started basically, it hasn't been around that long at all, who are we to define the next evolutionary stage of the internet so soon?

I do commend you though for writing such an in-depth article and presenting it beautifully, it was an interesting read nonetheless. It was nothing new that other Web 3.0 articles haven't already said, but it was a fantastic write up still.

With a great idea comes competition. Take for example Youtube, look how many similar sites took advantage of the idea and found ways to implement it in a better way.

Digg is quite clearly letting the success get to their heads. They think that just because they're in the top 300 most visited websites on the Internet - they can manipulate, lie and cheat users out of their hard work.

Digg has some growing up to do. But when you're founder looks like a 16 year old teenager with a Macbook, what more can you expect?

I know this was posted some time ago but I am having a similar problem with Adsense. My account was disabled as well for no reason, I never clicked my own ads or anything like that so I don't know what happened.

Adsense is the most horrible but unfortunately highest paying advertising program on the Internet. It sucks pretty bad, so I'm fighting for my account.

Google Chrome is fully transparent and open source. They will have plugin support and there will be an Adblock extension for it no doubt. I think it's wrong to blog what you think Google's intentions are when it's obvious the browser is majorly incomplete (as they've said).

How can Google make a browser that doesn't allow an Adblock extension if it's open source anyway? Anyone with programming knowledge could modify Chrome to have extension support and even block ads if Google doesn't even implement such a feature.

I am not a fan of these Firefox 3 themes whatsoever. I appreciate you taking the time to make a list of themes though.

If anyone is interested in an attractive, nice, clean, Firefox theme, take a look at Silvermel. http://www.silvermel.net/ - Its quite a nice theme that is Firefox 3 compatible. I am currently using this theme.

Aww, cry me a river everyone. Firstly, the Pirate Bay wasn't even a good place to get torrents from, only stupid people with no sense or brain used it, and you only got viruses and low quality audio rips, and crappy movies shot on a camcorder.

The Pirate Bay creators got off lightly. Only a year, man they deserve 4 years for their cockiness and they were secretly profitiing off the site heavily. It's a load of crap when they say they weren't. Would people be as compassionate if they revealed they were making a killing in revenue?

Stop crying over the Pirate Bay and join a private torrent tracker where the admins don't go boasting about being unshutdownable.

Their argument is somewhat correct but, how can they honestly know if the user is going to distribute the content or simply just keep it on their PC's. It's very trivial and I think asking for large amounts of cash for backing up a CD to your computer is absolutely crazy.

Users pay for their CD's and they are allowed to copy them for personal use by law. Bring down the RIAA.

Why add such a pointless thing to your blog? It's only going to slow it down and what is the real advantage of having it other than seeming more web 2.0 / web 3.0? All it does is take up screen space, it looks ugly and quite frankly it makes me angry.

Your blog theme is too bland and the Google Friend Connect bar the bottom just makes it look even blander than it currently looks.

May I suggest hiring a web development and design agency to make you a new blog design worthy enough for my eyes to lance upon?

Sure the bar makes your site more engaging, but the content quality of your blog posts lately is so bad that it's not worth engaging in the first place, because your posts have no substance to them.

I find it laughable that someone who has worked with major hardware and software development companies over the years, not to mention someone that boasts vast amounts of knowledge in social media could forget about FTP, let alone get away with not using it since 1996.
