in Calling 0800 numbers for free from mobiles on The Really Mobile Project
The same also applies to 0845 numbers. These are charged at local rate on my landline, yet are not included as part of my free minutes bundle on a mobile. Why is that? (apart from the fact that they want to spring hidden charges on me)

I honestly don't think apple have much to be worried about yet. Have you tried using the nokia music store? I found it to be even more of a painful experience than iTunes.

- Joikuspot: Makes the phone a wifi hotspot (great if you have an ipod touch like me)
- googlemaps: (assume you have this already)
- Qik: for streaming live on the internet. I have this mapped to a quick button in case I get a problem with a dodgy copper or something (hey, could happen!)
- T9Nav: my personal favorite, is in beta atm, but makes it so much easier to make calls quickly. If it wasn't for the fact that it slows down my phone somewhat I'd go as far to say that it should be inbuilt in every handset
- Handy Taskman: Better task manager

If the number truly is scrambled, then I wonder how long it will be before people start falsely accusing people "for a laugh". I do think this is a great idea though.

Samantha Very valid point!

Well, I would imagine that they would investigate cases based on the liklihood of it happening in an area and such... Then again, I don't see the point in that!

What constitues as being "fun" to some people is rather bizarre. Falsely accusing someone for a "laugh" certainly isn't fun; but even saying that, I cannot deny it'll probably happen!

Did you know that Virgin mobile charges 5p/Kb for data access!? Yes you did read that correctly. And there is no cap.
