Simple, effective argument, just like an apple product. Except, say, Back to my mac. I don't hear this argument that often, but I agree, it's baffling that people thing that because something is complex and difficult to use that it is somehow better or more powerful than something that is simple and easy to use.

Re: I want my Audiobooks, and I want it NOW!

Um. You mean lame Audible. Really freaking lame, as that DRM is an Audible issue, not Apple.

A few months back, Cory Doctorow was on This Week in Tech, which is sponsored by Audible. And he went off on a tear about Audible's DRM. I think it was TWIT 124. Let's see...Here is is: http://aolradio.podcast.aol.com/twit/TWiT0124H.mp3. Comes at about 2/3rds of the way through. OR you can go to twit.tv and listen to it in a bunch of formats, or download via iTunes.

Right now Apple is getting screwed over by the record companies who are offereing DRM free tunes to Amazon and other non-Apple companies, while Apple is locked into their 128KBS/DRMed music deal for the next little while. I don't think Apple wants DRM, but is willing to use it so as to make the inroads it needs to.

Re: Mac’s are Computers Too!

Macs are computers, but they're not possessive.

No, I'm not going to point out all grammatical mistakes, just obvious ones in headlines and whatnot.... although I'd feel a bit better if you put that final K on the end of Macboo. And maybe drop the capital I on iMac....

(Right, I know. If I didn't worry so much about punctuation, maybe I'da posted something in the last month....)

Re: Bill Gates and Seinfield must have a higher IQ than me.

Here's what I think.

I think the Richest Man in the World

and the Highest Paying TV Star in The World (former)

Are trying to pretend to be average everyday schmoes. Trying to say that Windows is not all hoity toity. Are trying to...why is Lisa staring at me?

Sorry. Anyway. Where was I? They're trying to be average joes, and I don't know if it will wash.

It's either that or "Hey, look at Bill's Bum!"

Re: Apple Recommends Antivirus Software For The First Time Ever [U]

Um. No. Here's the same KB article from a year ago.

http://web.archive.org/web/20080113164722/http:...

In other breaking news, I hear rumours that Apple is thinking about getting into the music business. Maybe with some sort of handheld MP3 player...
