Lee - I've dealt with it numerous times. Usually turns into a non-productive brawl. If the first company doesn't work, then move on. Some SEOs are great in one space and horrible in others

Scott - I too offloaded all my chat clients long ago. (I admit to recently loading Google Talk to test it out :)

On the other hand, while I don't use twitter on my cell, I do visit it a few times a day. You're right in what you said about the 'tech' crowd. One of the best vehicles I've found to see what's on other people minds before writing a piece (and also to promote a bit).

The biggest drawback (only?) that I've found is that not enough people follow you back. If you do, you can gain some real insight (at times), as well as discover interesting stories and info that nobody's talking about.

It's time management for me but no compulsive twittering?

Hi Tamar. Super post. After pouncing on 'The Lisa' last month for 'keeping the door closed', mine opened!. Learn from experience? Re-worked my Facebook and Twitter contacts last week. Yikes ! Lost a few in the process but was pleased when only one dropped me ?! So Rae, where are you :)

Hey Tamar. While some people simply don't have to worry about this, others should. It's been a long running 'issue of education' with Facebook etc. Aspiring kids in college, teachers, etc. "not reading the book" first.

Can be devastating. Can also be extremely productive if used properly .... and FUN!

Lee - Answering your request. Still like Facebook for a variety of reasons. I also think it's overhyped and could find a competitor. It's all about the buzz. Right now, Twitter seems to be getting more than anybody...
