in Plane crash in NYC captured on real-time web on Scobleizer
Robert - Times ARE changing. Check out the source of the NY Times piece (Industry Standard via IDG) .... just the beginning http://www.nytimes.com/external/idg/2009/01/15/... .
Sidenote: SP Gass makes a valid point. Everyone should have a S.A.M.E. - encoded National Weather Service receiver. They turn themselves on, work almost everywhere in the US, are incredible accurate, and are now also partnered with Homeland Security messages should they become necessary. (They should have given coupons for these BEFORE digital TV converter boxes ..... !)

in Did I harm my blog by FriendFeeding this year? on Scobleizer
Ditto Jeremy. Thought the TechCrunch comments were the funniest I've seen there in a long time. Robert - If you're making a decent buck and enjoying what you're doing (and healthy), you're doing 99% better than most. You could be addicted to something worse :) Have fun.

in Economic crisis hits home… on Scobleizer
Robert - I picked up the print copy of Fast Company (as you know from Friendfeed) last week for the first time. This is bad news. It's a unique product with potential and the ad ratio (at this time) looked good. Best of luck to everyone there.

Robert - Did five years in in-house SEO in the travel space until last year. Could tell you some neat 'behind the scenes' stories about travel on the web :) One of these days I'll get my you-know-what to the West Coast again...

in The Raw Power of StumbleUpon on Chris Brogan
Chris - I think there's an argument to be made on where your particular 'fans' hang out. I find my referrers vary on any given day but I think the most important reference on the graphic is the Google feed sharing, and somewhat surprised that Friendfeed isn't there at all.

Marco - We never really know but if any of them are looking to make money , the only one I can remember was ICQ when hey sold the company.

in Why Google News has no noise on Scobleizer
I've come full circle on this and have turned up the noise (a lot) lately. Someday, we'll have 'easy filters'. For now, it works for me in a variety of ways. Agree with Jim. The next 12 months will be VERY dynamic. There was a lot of logic to the CBS / CNET acquisition. Now, it's up to them to be 'early adopters' and make it work.

in Era of blogger’s control is over on Scobleizer
Despite the very obvious paranoia being exhibited by more than a few (on their blogs?!), sharing has way more benefits to all of them than not.
A couple of these posts already have Louis completely written off. That's just crazy. He's writing some of the best cutting edge commentary around?!
Understandable that the larger monetized sites are worried. They shouldn't ... and they're probably spending too much time watching the competition, which has proven over time to be a HUGE waste of time.

Stan - Testing the nightly builds of Firefox 3B4 here (aka Mozilla MineField). It's fast. Very fast! Stay tuned :)
Somewhere this week (I honestly don't remember where at the moment) I read that PayPal is discouraging use of Safari. Maybe they have a little security stuff to clean-up ?
