This is totally ridiculous. I am all for stopping child porn etc but this "filter" will be affecting honest and decent Australians. Telstra refused the offer to trial it and iinet said yes so they could prove how ineffective it is and how it is going to slow down access speeds. So we get to pay for the same amount yet lose speed. Now are we going to have to ssh tunnel to proxy servers or will that not work either? An the operation of torrenting is only illegal if you are downloading copyrighted content. This totally sucks.

Don't go Dreamhost. It's really only your luck that gets you a decent shared hosting server there. I have a shared hosting account on DH, and it works fine, but a friend's DH shared hosting account was VERY VERY slow. If you plan on getting a VPS, they work just fine though.

Perhaps you could try moving to a better performing platform with your current host? A Python based solution rather than PHP based could run a lot better.

I think the problem with all the mudslinging here is not so much the American people themselves but rather semi-misplaced anger. The American Government started it's life off as a republic(if you don't believe me then say the pledge off f$ckin allegiance) and all was well. In the late 19th & early 20th century, things really started to take a turn. Republicans and Democrats were switching roles(Abraham Lincoln was republican and abolished slavery which a modern day republican would fight to keep). Then along comes a lot of war, which is always profitable to the right people, and laws created to help immigrants gain a foothold so they can make enough money to live in our country. I personally am all for that, however, I lose my 'positive' attitude when people take advantage of the system so that tighter rules need to been in place which limits the number of people who can participate, even if only for a short time. I urge all Americans to do some research and find out what is really going on in our own government and how it relates to the way our country was set up to run. If you look up the definition of a democratic government, "No universally accepted definition of 'democracy' exists"(WIKI) which makes it dynamic and maleable. Don't hate Dubai for being rich and building it bigger, get your a$$ in school and learn how to make it bigger still, or better, more efficient. Also hate the american government for allowing people to take advantage of a system set in place to help people who need it and hate yourself for turning a blind eye to something that should be reported.

Sorry but it is not here. This blog has about 80 pages with 10 blog posts per page. Comments are available on first 19 pages only. That means less than 25% of comments has been imported. What is even more important you haven't imported threads with negative comments about going green - hundreds of negative comments are missing! I wonder if this is really technical issue?

It would be nice to add number of comments per post somewhere on the "front page".

It is a bit late for such initiative. Looks more like a search for cheap labor . You have got a lot of ideas for MSLearn and a lot of things you should/must fix in comments in last few months. You have ignored it, and later deleter all this feedback from community!!! How can you expect any trust in your intention if every change from you is done in such manner. Where are negative comments why have you deleted it? THIS IS CENZORSHIP! AGAIN!

Take a look again on MCP status and how have you changed and announced who is and who isn't MCP in last years. No one, even MSL knows who is and who isn't MCP. Of course you have your explanation - but it only makes sense for you:) It is the stability of certification offer that makes it valuable not constant changing (of benefits, names of certs, rules of certs etc.) Introducing of ideas that are silently gone soon isn't very smart.

It is not benefit. It is ripoff. The real reason for discontinuing wallet cards is economy not ecology. If ecology is MS concern why don't you stop selling printed books and BOXed software first? Is there any prove that those Virtual Business Cards and pdf Certs are more green than paper ones?

I've though you got your lesson with Vista, looks I was wrong.

1. Those digital cards with avatars looks like Mickey Mouse thing. Do you really think one would like to show it to human resources people during interview? I wouldn't.

2. You should show us new "benefits" first before discontinuing old ones that were "promised" when we have started learning and certifying process (which is longer than one month!).

3. I know that there aren't chances such big company can change decisions easily. Please let us pay for wallet cards as you let us pay for books and BOX software.

4. It is time to make MCPStore available in Europe. With current shipping prices I bet no one outside US orders in MCPStore.

5. Don't forget about Vista don't make same mistakes again. Listen to your customers - don't you see that almost everyone here is angry. I know you have done survey about it, but there were Vista surveys also...

Please stop using ecology as an excuse. You don't care about environment. You don't have any prove that servers are more green friendly than plastic wallet cards, and papers certs! The most funny thing in whole this discussion is your "eco" preference of paper over plastic. You might be surprised but production of plastic makes less impact on environment than paper, same is with recycling of both materials.

So again please don't say anything about ecology anymore. Check how much pollution is done by your cars each year and compare this to all MCP wallet cards ever released. You could be surprised again.

According to VMware one virtual server means 4 (four!) Tons (1000kg!) of CO2 emission less EACH YEAR!

I don't know what kind of plastic is used in wallet cards - for making 1kg of plastic about 6kg of CO2 are emitted.

As long as you have MCPStore and as long as you will be shipping paper certs on demand you can not count packaging and transport impact.

Please reconsider everything again:

1.) Digital cards aren't greener than plastic ones. Paper isn't greener than plastic. Whole MCP environment footprint is quite small compared to anything else.

2.) You might make a lot of damage to MCP program with "Xbox"/"Mickey Mouse" digital cards.

3.) You have failed with vista and MCTS/MCITP recognition and I am sure there were surveys about MCITP and Vista :) The program is still called MCP but MCTS aren’t real MCPs – another thing hard to understand for HR people. I have seen that even MCP IT people use “MCSE or equivalent name” not “MCITP or older equivalent” to name “high level” ITPro specialists.

4.) I know that surveys were made with current MCPs. The question is: have you asked any Human Resources people and people without MCP that are preparing or thinking about getting first exam? I have taken this survey but if I recall correctly the questions were asked indirectly. There weren’t question like: “Would you like to lose paper certificates for free, and wallet cards at all, and get digital wallet card with really cool and colorful logo instead.”

5.) If you are going to keep paper certs on demand then you could keep plastic cards also. It won't affect environment. Just optimize whole process make fair price with fair shipping globally. How about using Microsoft Tag technology, and redesigning certs and wallet cards, this could lead to slow transformation from plastic/paper to digital certs/cards. You should show us digital wallet cards first, start with some beta program before discontinuing current benefits. Maybe Digital Wallet Cards aren’t that bad but so far I see it as punishment and another thing that is decreasing value of MCP certs. Cert and wallet cards should be like money bills – would you trust in customized dollars with avatars of owner?
6.) Announcement one month before discontinuing benefit is really short time. I hope you won’t do that with old exams that I would like to pass (yes old MCP/MCSE exams that have and will have real value on the market!)

7.) I know it is really late for such change in terms of corporate decision process but our reception should warn you! Remember MCPs are as important if not more than your business partners. If MS thinks MCPs are good source of direct income then you are totally wrong here. While you make income from MCP program the main idea should be maximizing income from other departments by making MCP program attractive for newcomers, for people learning and addicting to new MS technology. Current MCPs are walking and talking MS advertisements and they(we) pay for it You should respect that especially with growing open source community and decreasing windows market share.
8.) So far you are lucky that most of those 2mln MCPs don’t know about upcoming change If/When most of them realize it you will see huge amount of anger thrown on you.

I can't make calculations for you. It is not my job and I don't know details. But you can make calculations quite easily. Of course to be really sure you need deeper study.

Just for remind:
1 kg of plastic emits about 6kg of CO2

1kWh (in USA) emits about 0.5kg of CO2.

From 1kg of plastic you can make a lot of wallet cards.

Anyway carbon footprint of all MCPs "benefits" is nothing compared to pollution done by your cars. Think about scale.

For each (US-) gallon of gasoline fuel consumed, 8.7 kg carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted. ( http://timeforchange.org/what-is-a-carbon-footp... )

When you start your Excel to do homework think about another computation: "How much MS income is generated thanks to/per one happy MCP".

I have a feeling this will be epic failure. Even Vista wasn't introduced in such "arogant" way!

1) You are discontinuing old benefits before introducing new one.

2) You haven't done any beta testing in MCP community so far (or at least you haven't told about such beta tests).

3) You haven't done any surveys about new Wallet Card (because there is no beta program) but you believe most of us will like it.

4) You only believe that this is greener solution and after few days you haven't prove it. Why is that? Are you going to show us numbers. Have you done any study about that?

5) Even if those numbers would show us this is more green solution I would like to see numbers how much plastic is used in Vista/7 Box. I believe it is about 20 times more than in MCP wallet card! There are more Vista customers than MCPs.

6) Are you going to stop selling non green products from MCPStore? Some of those goods contain much much more plastic than those wallets card that I won't be able to order for money. I would like be able to pay for wallet card in the same way I can pay for MCP Speaker Vase.

Compare prices of all exams needed to achieve certificate. While you are right than signle MCP exam is cheaper than Cisco or CompTIA, you need to remember than for example MCSE means at least 7 exams.

Tammie King: You are right. I think wallet cards are cool and work as great tool for promoting MS and MCP program that you can always carry. It is amazing that people from MS don't see it. I see that even MS employees from MCP program use old name for new credentials. AFAIK to become MCP one has to pass old MCP exam at least in a credential sense. Passing MCTS as a first exam gives MCP number and "MCP community" access. So in a strict sense MCTS people aren't MCPs. Trikah explained it on her blog.

Mess is made by stupid MS MCP Team innovation. I would welcome back old naming convention. It is commonly used by HR and MCP MS Team.

Let be honest MCTS/MCITP failed on market. It is not recognized. How could you dump such valuable names like MCSA/MCSE/MCDBA etc?

So far one of the best ways for advertising MCP program are printed certs and especially wallet cards. Please keep both. I understand it might be hard with current economy state, but all I am begging is option to pay for it.

Well I'm not a lawyer but I don't see anything wrong here. MCSE is given by MS based in USA. It is not given by local MS, MCSE credential isn't translated. It is title in English issued in USA so as long as it is legal in USA everything should be fine.

Local law doesn't matter for process that takes place in other country. At least this is how I see it.

Can you link me to reliable source about real legal issues MS had with MCSE name?

BTW I live in such country where "engineer status" is protected and never seen any confusion about MCSE beeing "real engineer".

I have never said that MS exams are expensive. For me prices are changing all the time - in last two-three years including rabate prices of MCP exams were changing even 6x for me! I guess it is similar to other people that do not earn in $ are were able to sign into 71(student) exams. Price doesn't matter for me as much - my time and work does. For time and work spent I would like to get certificate that is valuable on the market. Benefits like Wallet Cards are nice inexpensive reward for my work not for my dollars. I could pay for it.

Your last post makes sense in a part were you are comparing all expenses needed for achieving certificate. From me I could add that MS has really great and free materials for study. From my point of view there is one additional drawback with multiple exams for one cert - I have to travel quite long (in European) terms to nearest Prometric. It takes time and money.

Ken Rosen: you have asked about tool to calculate the impact. Well MS tools was linked in previous post by Sarah Grant http://www.microsoft.com/environment/ . Maybe you and your coworkers should check that site? You can check how much pollution is done by one server. Are you still going to sell this decision about wallet cards as a green one? Please tell as how many servers you will need (at least one and that means according to MS tools almost 5 tons of CO2!) and how many TONS of plastic wallet card do you ship each year. If it is less than one TON* then you have failed with "going green" I would call it going greedy:)

* I have said it several times one kg of plastic means up to 6kg of CO2 emission.

1. I am MCP - that means I've passed old exam type. MCTS people aren't MCPs - even MS doesn't know how to call them. Sometimes you call them as MCPs sometimes you don't. At the same time you (trika) have said that MCTS isn't MCP credentials sense. So in what sense MCTS is MCP? For me if someone isn't MCP in credential sense he/she is not in any sense. So you CAN NOT call those people as MCPs! Next time when you will BTW I'm MCTS also. You really have mess here. Surveys won't help you.

2. There are plenty of comments about MCITP value in previous posts (not only by me). You haven't answered to that. I'm sure you have surveys that show how sucessful is MCITP. Maybe that link will lead to some comments from you http://www.google.com/trends?q=mcse%2C+mcitp&am... Google trends shows what real people are looking for. We are comparing here one ITpro Windows Server MCSE cert with 9 MCITP exams.

3. About Green. I've showed you it already few times. No response. I will do it every time when you say MCP/MCTS(!) is going green. The facts are:

- you need at least one physical server (of course you need more to make it reliable and available for almost 2.5 mln community). According to MS "green" calculator (http://www.microsoft.com/environment/greenit/Pr...) one physical server emits about 5 tons of CO2 yearly.

- plastic production emits up to 6 tons of CO2 per one ton of plastic. One ton of plastic is a lot of MCP wallet cards. I guess total weight of cards released each year is much smaller than one ton. http://timeforchange.org/plastic-bags-and-plast...

- to be greener you should emits less CO2 not more! How after seeing those number can you say are going greener?

- oh and you are keeping paper certs which aren't greener than wallet cards. Yeah that is strange when you first hear it but plastic is more eco friendly than paper! Forget about shipping CO2 expenses - you aren't discontinuing it.

4. The way you discontinue benefits and introduce new is arrogant. To get certificate one have invest a lot of time and work. You have said you are discontinuing some benefits just one month before final date. You are making another mess with MCP/MCTS program by dividing people for those who have passed exams to some chosen date. It's not fair to change rules(benefits) during program. It would be fair to change benefits with new certificates, even make price higher. You have said there are surveys - how can you have surveys about something that isn't finished:)
I'm really sad that you are devaluating my effort invested into MCP.

3) Well you have said that you don't know how many servers you need, but you have said it is greener than plastic How is that possible? :) You are preparing graphics rich service with for almost 2.5 mln people you can't do that without establishing new additional physical servers. Virtual server always ends on physical machine somewhere and you can't put additional virtual machines on a server with high load.

4) I just can not accept fact that you are doing something without thinking about consequences (that is my impression, looks like MCITP/MCTS(!MCP) decision). You have said you will make a survey on autumn about digital wallets cards. What if it fail? Plastic Wallet Cards should be keep till you really know Digital is better. Even better would be an option to pay for it. I've seen this news reported on different ITpros site - there were about 40 comments from MCPs, MCTs, MCPs and MS employees - all negative.

I just realized that if certificate discontinues it should and probably will disappear from digital wallet card and certs downloads page. There is not such an issue with paper certs and wallet cards.

It is end of MS fiscal year and new "green" digital certificates are from next fiscal year. I guess the only way to show them that it wasn't right decision is by making next year less "green" (dollar color) for them. Even then I doubt they will revert this decision like they haven't corrected other wrong decisions from past. So leave your last comments, don't expect and let them ruin MSL.

The only way to show them how bad decision they have made is stop paying for those crap MCTS/MCITP exams. I'm sure amount of MCTS/MCITP exams is low compared to old good real MCP times. That is why they were trying to boost it with second shoot.

The problem comes from your "innovation" introduced without thinking about all consequences (oh, looks it is your new style). By making new MCP logo for MCTS only people you will make even more confusion. Maybe you should call it MCPW(annebe) or MCPP (postmodern professionals)? :) MCTS is for more than two years and you haven't fixed this simple thing. I guess you were afraid of more welcome kits expenses...

BTW even MCP webaplication is done by someone confused about MCP/MCTS. There is funny error that proves no one in MS is sure who is MCP and who is MCTS only, and when he/she becomes MCP:) The only hint I will provide you is "when".

And one more thing about MCTS not being MCPs: For about one year after starting MCTS/MCITP you had old statement on your pages that by passing one MS exam you become MCP (there were exceptions, non of them MCTS). That was the reson people were expecting they will be MCP after passing MCTS. That is the reason why Trika had to it to many unsatisfied first time MCTS. The point here is that those people were promised to get something for the price they have paid and they didn't get that. Do you know how this is called?

It is just another example of your total lack of full vision for MSL, and lack of thinking about all consequences you are making with your decisions.

Ken it is not exhausted debate yet for me. Some MCTS people were promised to become MCP by your own learning site. If I recall correctly MSL sites have stated that passing MCTS doesn't make MCP weeks after Trika post. Up to this date those people were promised to get something for their money. When Trika was writting on her blog your site was saying "Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) candidates are required to pass one current Microsoft Certification exam* that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. *A current exam is any exam that has not been retired." (this is from your site date 2008-01-12, January 12).

So MCTS who have passed first exam before you have changed that are MCP also (in full credentials meaning) and you should ship them free welcome kits for MCP! I wonder why no one started class action yet.

I don't buy explanation that there are two kinds of MCP - sounds like cheap excuse for the mess done by stupid decision without thinking abut consequences. Sad it is not the first or last one:(

Nice link, MSL should read it and make conclusion from it, ask Vista/7 people how you deal with broken product and unsatisfied customers. Vista was failure, like MSL is now. 7 looks so much better. MSL will need 2-3 years from now to understand that you can not fix something by breaking it even more.

I wonder why you Ken Rosen haven't answered about MCTS/MCITP 2007 and 2008 people status. Does you silence mean you are afraid of something?

If there is anyone who have passed MCTS/MCITP in 2007 or first half of 2008, and doesn't have MCP I think you can start some legal actions against MS. They have promised you to become MCPs, you have paid for something that wasn't delivered for you!!!

Well if you (try) login frequently then you should know this service is often unavailable or doesn't work correctly. Same problem is with Prometric. Maybe that is part of going green policy. Server with lower load emits less CO2 :)

The real problem will come if you won't have paper certs or wallet card during interview and MCP site will fail.

Ken it is not exhausted debate yet for me. Some MCTS people were promised to become MCP by your own learning site. If I recall correctly MSL sites have stated that passing MCTS doesn’t make MCP weeks after Trika post. Up to this date those people were promised to get something for their money. When Trika was writting on her blog your site was saying “Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) candidates are required to pass one current Microsoft Certification exam* that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. *A current exam is any exam that has not been retired.” (this is from your site date 2008-01-12, January 12).

So MCTS who have passed first exam before you have changed that are MCP also (in full credentials meaning) and you should ship them free welcome kits for MCP! I wonder why no one started class action yet.

I don’t buy explanation that there are two kinds of MCP - sounds like cheap excuse for the mess done by stupid decision without thinking abut consequences. Sad it is not the first or last one:(

It doesn't say "However, just below that, it also says that the exam must be chosen from a list of tracks, among which MCTS is *not* included."

There is statement "Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) candidates are required to pass one current Microsoft Certification exam* that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise." and "*A current exam is any exam that has not been retired."

Besides that I see links to some certificates (yes without MCTS and MCITP) but link can not change meaning of words "ANY" and "NOT RETIRED". You could say that MCTS or MCITP doesn't give MCP in FAQ but there wasn't word about change. Up to date when trika has made her post there wasn't ANY word from MS that was stating MCTS/MCITP doesn't give you MCP. Your GENERAL POLICY and site was saying that every exam gives you MCP! If you have changed that policy you should inform people about it - you haven't done that. That is fraud!

There is some hint in MCITP FAQ that MCP wasn't "affected" with new certificates "Q. What should I do if I am an MCP?
A.
Your MCP credential is not affected by the new certifications. If you are interested in becoming certified in Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005, or BizTalk Server 2006, please review the credentials requirements."

People were confused why they haven't got MCP for first MCTS exam and still are. I am MCP but if I weren't believe me I would try to force you with legal procedures to fulfill promised you have made. I am almost 100% sure you would lose in any court in any civilized country.

Yes that is no longer an issue for people who are taking MCTS exams now. There is a problem of frauding people in 2007 and 2008, those people are "normal" MCPs and should get MCP Welcome Kits. There are two important civil law rules that you are violating "agreements must be kept" and "the law does not operate retroactively". I don't expect that you will fix it by yourself decisions I would be glad to see someone forcing you with law to do that.

Since 2007 every MSL decision besides Second Shot was Epic Failure. I would like to know who designed MCTS/MCITP without thinking about coherency in MCP program, all consequences, and value of certification. I get impression it was same person that invented "going green" marketing. You have bad product MSL, and instead of fixing it by adding value to it, you are devaluating it completely.

I'm wondering why are you showing it to us. Probably to impress us. That is good. MS certificates and wallet cards were fine things to impress people as someone else pointed that in comments under going green.

With MCTS/MCITP and "green" @#$%$ you no longer will have and be able to show credentials after few years. While old certs do obsolete they still have some value like your above - especially those printed by MS. Anyone who takes MCTS/MCITP exam now won't be able to use those credentials few years from now, and probably won't be able to show he has achieved something years ago.

In shorter form EPIC FAIL!

You might be amazed. I don't expect you will be brave enough so far about 95% comments are negative.

So there are different types of MCP some:

- are MCP
- aren't MCP but MS calls them that sometime, and sometimes don't
- have lapel pins
- don't have lapel pins
- have cers send by MS
- have printed certs
- have full-bleed certs
- white bords
- have wallet cards and some have cool xboxlike achivements

Well how about making things cleaner especially for HR people and introduce new credentials like

MCP Home Basic
MCP Home Premium
MCP Buisness
MCP Professional (that would be cool)
MCP Ultimate
MCP Enterprise

and combine it with variants of MCP like

MCP ULTIMATE Digital Wallet Card Edition
MCP ULTIMATE FULL-BLEED Semi Green Edition
MCP ULTIMATE GREEN EDITION (for those that do not order or print certs)

and

MCP ULTIMATE GREEN MASTER (for those that are so green that they do not take MS Exams anymore).

Again you have proved that your decission style is: act firts, think later.

1. Servers aren't greener than plastic! Please stop arguing that.

2. MCTS/MCITP is failure without any value. All newcomers to MCP program still ask about MCSA/MCSE.

AFAIK It wasn't even announced this will be discontinued.

Help Desk Institute is on the same level of quality that MSLearning since 2007. For example their site still list discontinued benefits (in december 2008). Nothing uncommon in MSLearning world. Everything from MSLearn done since 2007 looks so unprofessional. This is really sad.

Hiring Managers have no idea about MCTS and MCITP so far. They have no idea that there are different kinds of MCP (done by your stupid decissions). They have no idea that some people might show them wallet cards and paper certs and some can't.

Where are digital wallet cards.

Have you counted how many benefits have been discontinued since December 2008?

Have you informed your new parter about those changes? I know you haven't they still lists discontinued benefits. LOL

MCP I have impression it has started months before Trika has left. I think that MCTS/MCITP introduction is the first really bad implemented decision. Since that date MSLearing is unable to provide correct information on own sites even! On the one hand this is really sad but on the other quite funny that billion $ business is so "retarded" (I will be censored for that word again lol). Maybe Trika have seen it and left MSLearing because of that. There is no point in writing about all those bad decisions again - no one here is listening and no one here could solve that. If there are any MCPs that care about time and money they have spent we should try to contact someone above MSLearning.

Nice summary MCSE2003. One thing doesn't stop amazing me - Ken is "Community and Evangelism team" leader but I get feeling he totally lost contact with community and maybe reality. He writes "I am happy to announce" - this is really sad that he as a community and evangelism leader do not have any reflections based on feedback from community. Wonder what is the point of such position? I was trying to explain him (using MS data!) that servers aren't greener than small amount of plastic. He ignored it. I think we should contact organizations that keep records of greenwashing companies (above wikipedia link ).

In last 6 months MS has discontinued more benefits, not only wallet cards and paper certs, free shipping and welcome kits.

What you don’t know (and I don’t either) is whether our solution requires dedicated servers or whether it’s running on a virtual server. We have a vendor managing the solution for us, and since they provide this kind of service for many other clients, I strongly suspect that we are just one of several applications running on a server.

Those kids now have to spend 10$ for real certificate. It was especially sad to read comments under "going green" about people in 3rd world countries that will end without certs for their hard work. 10$ in some countries is a lot of money. So far MS had lower prices for certs there. Even if those people have 10$ to pay for a paper they might do not have credit card. Take a look at those kids - looks like they have simple black and without printout only - prometric score(?).

This will lead to more Linux and opensource use in such countries - that is the only one positive thing I find with your decision. Thank you Microsoft for promoting opensource solutions.

Anonymoose well you are right that applications are important. Preferences/knowledge of users and IT people, managers and sometimes politicians are even more important. This is slow process but it is happening now - kids in 3rd world/developing countries and China learn Linux. In 5 or 10 years from now it might be harder to find MS Environment IT Pro/Developer than Linux - I see plenty of young people around me that have deep knowledge about Linux and almost zero about Windows/MS solutions.

I live in a country where Firefox has more market share than IE already. Windows still is a first desktop OS and will be for many years from now, but it is losing market share constantly. There were other people comments about change to Linux due to "going green" decision - yeah that sounds strange.

Well I have notice it - although in my country we still on a plus side (barely). You have forgot about Zune HD and WM 6.5 those are important products also. I am sure this will help MS. Anyway current drop is much higher than world/USA average decrease of income. They are cutting costs in every place. Those are the only reasons of going green. Cutting costs might work in short term but it will fail badly in a long run.

If you have followed "going green" announcement then it was pointed on blog one month before, and 11 days till deadline date in MCP Flash newsletter. Even for those who have RSS from this blog one month couldn't be enough to learn and sign up for exam. There are hints those changes were in MS mind since at least February...

You haven't kept plastic wallet cards even for a fee "because of going green policy". My question is: Why are you keeping MCP store plastic things?

Where are digital wallet cards? You have promised to deliver it early August, later correcting it to 18th, are there chances we will see at least non working beta with typical MCP bugs and misleading informations? Where are new benefits that were promised (like Technet - that wouldn't make pollution at least in your way of thinking).

MSL you are so pathetic...

Besides Second Shoot I haven't seen anything valuable from you in last two-three years. During these time you have rose price of exam (10$ shipping of cert) and discontinued many benefits (six if I recall correctly). Other failures were pointed by me and other people in previous comments. There is no point in repeating it, you should know it already.

I doubt we will see Virtual Business Cards in September I doubt it will have any value.

1. Looks that you haven't read all my posts - Wallet Cards are only one issue I was trying to point. There are plenty of things MS should face, oh and I wasn't alone in listing those issues. Wonder why all "anger" from "blog" side is thrown at me. Energy spend on attacking me could be used for better things.

2. It is second time when I am publicly attacked for the star scores I give. I haven't seen any TERM about scoring posts were are warnings that scoring isn't anonymous and for giving low score you might be attacked. Since we know how I vote It would be fair to show same details about other people.

3. I haven't answered on your posts immediately because I have waited to see if there are same rules for everyone here. Read what Ken Rosen wrote about commenting rules:

Notice small subtle difference I am writing about MSL - their current policy I try to avoid personal attacks. In two posts you haven't argued with any of my statements (how could you without knowing it) instead you have focused on me only. It simply violets rules described by Ken Rosen I have cited. I am sure anyone who would attack someone from MSL in your way would be censored in minutes.

He shouldn't be fired for the joke, however, if enough people are able to manipulate the demographic viewership enough to crush his ratings, then he should be fired.

Simple answer, if you think he should be fired, never watch him again, and if you think anyone else believes he should be fired have them never watch him again.

Then it's a business issue (a valid reason) rather than a political one (an invalid reason) in his state of employment.

If he disgusts you so much, don't watch him, that will eventually hurt him (heard about programing feedback into most of the consoles to allow for a more accurate counting of viewership, doubt if us libertarian minded will sign on with it, but we haven't had a whole lot of choices in a while anyways) and even if you aren't a "nielsen family" you can affect the outcome.

Just stop watching him, like I did years ago, then it's a business and contractual issue (of which I support) rather than a manipulation of a momentary opinion based on politics (which I opposes.)

Using the "if it were me" argument is dictatorial, we are not a dictatorial nation, but using the "apparently enough people agree to the level that you are losing money," then it belongs to the people, and not a group of connected people chasing away opinion.

I think Dave is less than a skunk and have thought so for quite some time, and even if I had an 11 1/2 inch ash wand with a pheonix feather in the grip that I could wave to get him off the air, I wouldn't wave it, not even if I had the great wand of the deathly hallows would I do it.

I'm not a fan of dictatorial acts, I'm a conservative, I will make up my own mind, and hope that everyone else can make up, or change theirs in a way I prefer, without once imperiousing my opinion on them.

I don't like this. Don't recruit from the Vets. If a vet puts themselves forward, that is different, but don't recruit so you can throw them on the national stage.

I don't know what to do in response. A 35 year old Engineer who is retired or has a small successful business that would all them to retire?

I agree with the argument "get away from lawyers" and DEFINATELY NEVER select a poli-sci. But engineers, and pure scientists, tech's who have patents, people who understand the mechanics of the universe, which are fundamentaly simple when broken down into axiomatic foundations, rather than those who understand the mechanics of government that are constantly more and more complex as you delve into them.

But I think one of them would kill a lawyer.

That offends me quite a bit. I don't think you understand the quality of our armed forces.

The enlisted might not have degree's, but the percentages are not unimpressive for those who have SOME, and the officers, while it's hard for them to earn the respect of their troops, most definately aren't fools, and most of them are damn fine people, with damn fine minds and a proven record of courage and sacrifice.

To be an officer, in any of the branches of the military (though I favor the DoN) demonstrates, first dedication, second education and always responsibility.

An officer who says "that was the last commander, not me." is a bird, and will be shunned, Officers are prime candidates for office, but, (I was enlisted) I think an enlisted who made good after leaving is even better.

A former SSgt, with a bach in engineering is twice the man of an elitist rich boy with a doc in poli-sci.
