in Facebook Advertising on AllFacebook
I *absolutely* agree with your conclusion except for one part: "the real winner is going to be the ad network that hasn’t launched yet." appfuel, where I'm a co-founder, is currently serving targeted ads that are so relevant that users are happy to see/interface with them . Implementing your suggestions is not an easy task, but we've been working on it for nearly two years, and since launch a couple weeks ago have already had over 30 publishers sign up.

in Are Facebook Ad Networks Worth the Trouble? | Charles Hudson's Weblog on Charles Hudson's Blog
Thanks for the shout, Charles. You post very relevant questions, many of which we tried to answer at AppDevCon yesterday in SF (by we, I mean a panel of startups targeting this opportunity). All in, my personal belief is that advertising itself is going to shift (again). What Google did for advertisers by using keywords as a measure of intent was a (huge) step in establishing communication between merchants and consumers; Facebook (and other SNs) will allow for a richer conversation, ultimately resulting in a win-win-win-win between merchants, consumers, SNs (the gatekeepers), and companies like appfuel (where I'm a co-founder) which will make it all happen.

in Social Network Advertising Is Hot on AllFacebook
One the first "intelligent" social network advertising players, appfuel.com, launched yesterday at "AppDevCon" in SF (FYI, the first 50 publishers to sign-up get to keep all the revenue they generate for 6 months; check appfuel.com for details).
With regards to AdSense, I've seen a few units on Facebook but they haven't been very popular, possibly because they are best for content rich sites, not interaction oriented applications as most popular Facebook apps tend to be; I think that's where dedicated players like appfuel come in, building smarter ad solutions for social platform environments.

in Lookery: Openads powered ad network for Facebook applications on The OpenX Community Blog
Thanks for the targeting hint :)
Is there any place where you publish more information around how the Openads platform can be leveraged for content delivery on facebook apps? We'd like to leverage Openads as well but are not finding it to be as flexible as we'd like.
(All in, though, nice work with the product!)
