People way back in the OT lived so long, but sin and humanity has created so many diseases. Slowly but surely throughout the OT people started living shorter and shorter lives. It is only in this modern or postmodern era that people are living longer than their predecessors. So while God is obviously involved in a way I cannot fully comprehend, I do think sickness is part of our mortality.

Tylers last blog post..Feel

Re: Nick Hotel, Orlando FL

that hotel looks.....AWESOME.

this weekend i tried to stay cool. it was 100 for most of the weekend.

Tylers last blog post..Fortuitous Bouncing

Re: Why Jordan Hates Patriotic Songs (in worship)

so he probably wouldn't be happy that we're capping our main set with a chorus of the battle hymn :)

Tylers last blog post..The Boss

Re: Worship Confessional Do’s and Don’ts

hey fred...

i totally agree with your disclaimer thought. i plan to keep mine because i do think it serves a purpose, but i fully know that my views do represent my church for some people.

Tylers last blog post..Fortuitous Bouncing

Re: Songs that Get’r Done

good list fred. i would add to that list hosanna by hillsong and brooke fraser.

Tylers last blog post..Breaking the Barrier

Re: FreePlay Friday (FaceBook, The Shack)

don't ever ditch facebook again! that is the moral of the story :)

Tylers last blog post..Porn Nation .3

Re: Using Mogulus or Video for Worship

i like that idea fred. i'll have to think about when would be appropriate to do something like this.

Tylers last blog post..Day Trip

Re: Austin Bound

jealous.

well not jealous of being in texas in late july, but jealous of you going to the conference. hope your class goes great.

Tylers last blog post..10 Reasons Why I Don’t Go to the Cool Church

Re: NWLC: Monday Update (Shuttles)

I think they need to put these conferences in the northwest in the summer. For sure. And participation without revelation is fake. That being said, I would go back to your original list to see how we (as worship leaders led by the Holy Spirit) can foster an environment that reeks of revelation. How can we make the main thing the main thing and make that evident to the average Joe in the congregation? I think that is the next step here.

Tylers last blog post..Crazy Love .2 of 3

Re: Sunday Setlists #2 - Share Your Setlist Link

I see no Mr Linky...

Re: Guest Blog, Pete Wilson (WithoutWax.tv)

Particular environment...I think for me it is outside at night under the stars. I 100% believe it is unBiblical and unGodly to worship a worship leader. It is a sad thing to see people care more about Chris Tomlin's new cd than they care about following Jesus. Thanks for the challenge Fred.

Tylers last blog post..Dear Senator Barack Obama

Re: Distracting Worship?

Well I genuinely think that we can only choose to let things distract us. True worship is focused on God.

But I will admit that people dancing distracts me, especially on slower songs.

Tylers last blog post..Dear Reader

Re: Honey Hole Worship - The Reservoir

How Great Thou Art, The Stand, Let God Arise

Tylers last blog post..This Was Hard For Me

Re: Sunday Setlists #10 - What Happened at Your Church

I am so so so late with this...sorry

Tylers last blog post..The Power of Blogging

Re: Worship Books - Which Ones?

Hey Fred-

I did 5 posts on that book because I loved it so much. We used some loops this past weekend. The hardest part of to make sure that each musician (not just the drummer) sticks with the tempo. They have to have it up loud in their ears for sure.

Tylers last blog post..Do You Dress Up For Church?

Re: FreePlay Friday - Ramblings

I don't think McCain would disagree with Obama's statement, since he did support the bailout. I wonder if this subject is past the point of discussion. At least in the blog world it seems people are set on their opinions and will not move on them. One thing I would say is that people who are for the elca's decision believe their decision is based on Biblical principles.

Re: A Lutheran Responds to the ELCA

Fair point. I guess I'm speaking mostly to blogs, certainly the discussion should happen in churches. I do think that this kind of heated discussion is hard to have without some sort of relationship between those who are talking.

Re: Random Things

I tried to leave my tweet comment about it open ended, but I do agree with you on this thing.
