glasses can be quite chic! I think if you're mostly blind, too, you can't see things coming at you from the side (like baseballs or people!) because of a lack of peripheral vision. :O

I hope McCain doesn't become president. It's really a slippery slope between appearing to protect rights and trying to take them away... it is scary to see how some states interpret this act. I thought McCain was pro embryonic stem cell research? And I doubt he'd be in opposition to IVF, where many of the embryos are never brought to term... so it seems stupid that he would want try to define them as human.

Sex education in my state (PA) is supposed to be abstinence only, but even then we were still taught all about sex, birth control, stds, prevention, etc in a very reasonable way. Although they did make us watch one video about AIDS, where a kid in it asked at the end, "But what if we decide to have sex anyways?" and the video instructor replied, "Well, then I guess you'll just have to be prepared to die." D
