Randy's lectures were amazing. He will be missed.

A close relative of mine was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We are organizing a major 24hour blog-o-thon to raise awareness of cancer (particularly pancreatic cancer) and raise money for research. I think you got something with the respect aspect. Just because we're not at MECCA doesn't mean we can't worship.

I think it is brilliant and I hope they are (even in part) able to pull it off. A big part of this will be a branding shift as well - key business players will have to consider Google as a business partner, not just a provider of advertising solutions and search functionality.

Great way to look at these services, especially twitter. I've been trying to understand it's value as of late, but I think you just nailed it on the head. Thank you for the insightful post.

I'm a huge fan of 37signals (actively using basebamp). I don't know if Free ruins the economy, but I understand the point. Great post...
