Keep your job in the MSM, Mathew.

Re: Yahoo and AOL: Desperation squared

I think the Times post about Yahoo/AOL links nicely to your previous 'media at hyperspeed' article. It's been over two days now, and all the reasonable opinions about the Microsoft-Yahoo deal have been beaten to death. I'm looking forward to a sensational article about a Baidu.com/Yahoo merger. After all, Lenovo took over IBM's struggling PC business...

Re: Video interlude: Big Dog robot

Wow. I was born in 1946, so I'm on the leading edge. What products have I looked at recently? The new VW crossover SUV; light weight tents; computer programming books at Amazon; memory upgrades for my new Macbook. What, no incontinence products? Sorry. I just turn off completely when I see 'Senior', 'Elder', etc etc in any advertising.

Re: Mac vs. Windows: Does it even matter?

Apart from the fact that all the OS's have converged tremendously in the last few years, the most important development for me is virtualization. I make my living programming MS Office; my current main development machine is a Macbook running VMWare Fusion - I can use different virtual machines: Windows XP with Office 2003, Win XP with Office 2007 and SQL Server Express, Win 2003 with VS 2008 etc. etc.

Re: Jay Walker’s incredible geek library

'I would give my right arm to have a few hours in there'. If you don't know what Mumbai is by now, you never will, and it doesn't matter.

Re: More reasons to love the British

Newcastle?
