Well put. Nicely argued and rational. And the "America's religion is the Constitution" is brilliant.

in Apple rebooting problem hits us… on Scobleizer
It's possible it's bad RAM which often causes random restarts. No real way to test other than swapping out RAM and waiting to see if it changes the results.

iTunes will do that for him on PC or Mac. Create a Playlist for the podcast and burn the playlist to a CD, converting to standard CD format on the way.

I'm a big fan of "load local" and web services haven't really interested me, but reading about Google's spreadsheet got me excited - because two or more people can work on the one sheet at a time. A limited sheet, sure, but a spreadsheet none the less. My producer and I could look at a schedule together; or perhaps a guest could place themselves in the schedule? I love the idea.
And I know Excel with Office Live will probably have some similar features but so far I've been undersold. ;-)

Robert, just another well-wisher among many. I cried reading your blog tonight. Right now I'm in the opposite position - my mom is visiting from Australia and I'm enjoying her company while I can. Mother can be the most annoying people in our lives (sometimes) but it's now time for me to enjoy her company while I can. Reading what you're going through makes me realise just how precious the time I have with her is.
Crying is good therapy, to be recommended.

So absolutely, absolutely true. I had a recent incident (or three) with Cingular and wrote to the VP Marketing concluding that I presumed they didn't really care and would try and fob me off with some "we really care, but we don't" response and saying that I would be insulted by such a response.
I got a call from "the Office of the President" which turns out to be a do-nothing call center designed to give the illusion they care. They don't. None of them do. The high cost of acquiring a customer seems to be nothing, because this customer is going as soon as the contract's up. Cingular's non-existent customer service drove me away.

Nothing creative in the swearing - seems pretty dull and boring; standard rant fare to me. :)
Although I'm inclined to agree with the spirit of the post.
Cheers
