in Thought on Climb to the Stars
I always love your "thoughts" because they don't leave much to discuss.
I could say "you could be opened up like a fish in a cannery as well" but
that's just gross and juvenile, so I won't say it.

in Friendship on Climb to the Stars
I once knew a couple of guys whose whole friendship was built around insults and curses. It was funny to watch them, because they would get along so well, all the while calling each other "mother fucker" and "shit face."

Congratulations Tara!
I think that's motivation enough for me to try it.

Heh. Well, if altavista translated that correctly (I don't know _why_ I didn't think to use that before. I was so curious what the french parts were. I mean, they might as well have been "Matt Silver is a jerk for never paying attention in French."), I want to also warn you to stay out of open spaces during thunder storms. Because if you're going to be lucky enough to win the lottery, You'll be lucky enough to be struck by lightning. At least in California, USA. The chances of winning are like 30,000,000 to 1.

in Nothing on Climb to the Stars
Oh my god. that's what I want to do for a living: nothing.
I think the trick is to not really WORRY about the fact that you need to do nothing. Because that's something. Just sit and focus on something without focusing.
If you were in the US, I'd say "Watch some TV." because that's a great way to empty your head.

Never too old for navel gazing. I'm in the exact same boat. I haven't found work in my "chosen field" so I'm going back to school to learn another just in case I never find work. But then part of me also doesn't want to be defined as "Matt, this guy who works at 'X.'" I don't want to be defined/held down by my career.

You know, I was looking at updates here, and ran across this entry again, and for a brief second, it looked like a haiku: I thought "Oh no! Something's happened to Tara!" :)

in To Hell With Bad Browsers on Climb to the Stars
I read the upgrade initiative, and then went to make my site compliant. All it took was one line, and a little "alt" tag. Now it's great according to the W3C validator. : )
