Great advice. Setting aside money automatically has helped me reduce my debt, build savings, and have spending money without spending a huge amount of time.

in The Power of Less: Changing Behavior with Leo Babauta on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Leo has a great blog and his viewpoint comes across clearly. I really need to work on single tasking. It is so tempting to want to do several things, but I noticed I accomplish more when I push myself to focus one thing at a time.

in Digital Cribs: Homes with Practical (and Impractical) Technologies (Plus: Victorinox Winner) on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Sweet crib! I'd love a Mac book for just for iLife. No awesome gear, but I do like our set up with the office and living room. We have a laptop so I can check on comments during news pieces that I could just pass on. The window also gets great light into the apartment and writing a post with some fresh air and sun is awesome.

in BIG NEWS and Sneak Peek - Tim Ferriss TV Show Debut 12/4 on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
I'm really excited to see the show.I'll publish an afternoon post on the show tomorrow on my site. can you put up some more information on the show for the post, such as:

What lead you to come up with the concept for the show?
What skills are harder to acquire quickly? (ie language, martial arts, programming, etc)
If someone could only take 2-3 courses in college, which would you suggest would be the most beneficial?
How can you find great instructors in a short amount of time? (Many of my readers are college students and are looking to ind mentors/professors)?

I also tweeted the link for the show already and will put it on Facebook.Do you have a event for it already on FB? If not, do you mind if someone else puts one up?

My challenge: Started a successful (5,000+ subscribers) blog with an anonymous name in 30 days or less.

in 6 ways you are passing up free money on brip blap
I kept too much cash in my old BofA checking and lost some cash. Now I use ING Direct savings with my Wachovia checking and I see a great difference. More money and better customer service.

Great timing on the post, I'm starting to feel overwhelm with Twitter. I do enjoy posting on it occasionally. I met an awesome colleague there that has been supportive of my site with content ideas.

in Trading Places with Indian Outsourcers on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Wonderful video link. I appreciated the small slice of Indian life that the documentary showed. I'm curious to learn more about outsourcing as my experience is limited to class discussions.

Thank you for the advice in your book. I can now do my job in half the time and I'm working on liberating myself at least 1 day from the office. Your book has relived some stress from my life and I'm excited to see much more I can use your methods.

in The Art of Speed: Conversations with Monster Makers on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
I agree completely with Mike on his 1st day pet peeve. It took my new job 6 weeks to get my own e-mail, since they didn't start the switching branch contacts until after I got hired.

They made an issue of how much they wanted me during interview and this screw up (along with a few other 'little things) happens. My 90 day review is coming and I'm hoping to get some resolution. As much as I love my job, the environment is making me look at other companies.
