Excellent point, mysistagirl, I was wondering when someone was going to bring objectivity into this matter. People choose selective retention when it suits their political purposes. This situation with Pastor Warren and the numerous other rants about Obama and AA's since the election serves a broader political agenda of many on the left who oppose compromise and disagreement with their views by demonizing others and who are intolerant of Christianity except as it is espoused by progressives and uber-liberals.

Ari, I watched a video of your interview & political analysis yesterday with Contessa Brewer and Brad on MSNBC. The video was posted on the HuffingtonPost. I just wanted to thank you for your forthrightness in combating the lies and character assassination efforts by the McCain camp. I'm looking forward with great anticipation to your future appearances on MSNBC and hopefully other news programs as well.

Why am I not surprised? I am an Independent who's voted for Democrats and Republicans over the years. I am also an African American. The GOP has completely lost its credibility. They've become little more than an irrelevant, inept, unprofessional, trash talking, regional group of reactionaries. They are represented by racists and sexists like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. These are people who resent educated people whom they refer to disdainfully as "elites".

The GOP is peopled by polarizing, intolerant, self-righteous bigots who insist on imposing their vies and so-called "values" on everyone else. They profess to be pro-lifers but they are only pro-life until birth. They don't have a problem with launching preemptive wars that result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people who have never even been to America let alone planned to harm us.

They have ruined our reputations abroad and spent billions on conducting unjust wars while presiding over the worst economic recession since WW11.

So I'm not surprised that the same a member of the same Party that chose"Barack the Magic Negro" to deride our nation's first African American President and accused our nation's first Hispanic Supreme Court nominee of being a reverse racist also suggested that an escaped gorilla was an ancestor of our nation's first African American first lady.

I agree with former President Clinton's assertion that if a white person was POTUS the same racists, neo-cons, Republicans, misinformed, anti-government, anti-feminists and anti-gay rights extremists would still be opposed to a Democratic domestic agenda.

However, I disagree with Mr. Clinton's assertion that the vast right wing propaganda machine is smaller than it was during his presidency. One need only look at the expanded right wing echo chamber which includes Limbaugh, Fox News' Beck and Hannity, the growing right-wing Web propaganda machine, the out right racist laden ad hominen attacks on the President by people who would otherwise be considered mainstream Republicans such as elected officials questioning the President's place of birth, and the conspiracy against ACORN, Van Jones, Cass Sustein and others in the public sector and the Obama Administration. a
