in The iPhone Cometh . . . Again on How To Split An Atom
I have to admit the iPhone is so much more than just a phone and even as a phone it doesn't do that well. The basic features like the innovative touch screen, mp3 capability and a variety of applications is what really launched the iPhone in to a must have market. They combined a CELL PHONE, PDA and an MP3 PLAYER all in one device and targeted nearly every electronics consumer.
Half the time I find that I don't use half of the features on my iPhone other than Notes, Maps, Internet and Texting but not having those features would create desire to have them... the grass is always greener on the other side. There isn't a chance that I would trade my iPhone for another phone.
I wish it had tethering though... it'd save me $70/month on my AT&T wireless card.

in Review: The Witcher - Bull3t's Blog on Bull3t's Blog
I'll have to admit the graphics look quite stunning. As far as gameplay goes I've never been a fan of 1st person or over the shoulder style view.. I prefer the view of 3rd person.
I'm a big fan MMORPG's where choice is a larger factor in character development than gear worn by the character. My first MMORPG was Asheron's Call and in the beginning every character was human. You choose your race such as white, black, asian (aluvian, gharu, sho) and after that it was all about skills you chose with your limited amount of skill credits. As you level you'd put experience in to those skills to determine their strength in combination with a weapon or armor.
Most of the MMORPGs out there today all appear to be gear based to keep you chasing the carrot and the style of your character was chosen day 1 and you can never modify to a hybrid or make your "custom" character that is unique.
Great Review!

in Age In Place (Week Two) on How To Split An Atom
It takes a lot of time to learn about your topic before writing an article yourself if you don't already know about it. Just writing content and writing GOOD content are two different things.
College students are still by far the cheapest solution I've seen to having GOOD original content written for your website or blog.

in The Price Is Right but the Process is Wrong on Leveraging Ideas
I agree, in order to make the sale sometimes it has to be too easy. As simple as Point, Click, Pay. Often times there is a ton of information cluttering the payment page or it is hard to find. Often times a consumer will only signup if the payment page is available as soon as he/she decides to make the purchase. Any time in between can cause a customer to re-think their purchase and result in the loss of a sale.
I wholeheartedly agree with you distinction between content and good content...we definitely want good content! I've actually got a connection at a nearby liberal arts college that might prove useful in finding a good candidate. Excellent suggestion! Thanks for the input.
